Eck dancemum i hope they don't

I've tidied my ensuite vanity cupboard. Flung a few pointless bits and rest sorted into little tubs for ease of access. Looks lovely, lol.
Also purchased word search and activity books for the flight. And some sandals to go with my new dresses
Must stop spending now...
Feeling rather cold today - brr - I suppose getting the vac out would warm me up. But I'll go tidy the kitchen instead - have craft bits to sort for DD easter bonnet competition that seem to be everywhere, so will go clear my counters before I head off to school again...Bossymoo

Meeting wasn't as bad as they painted it. I went in polite but asking what we're the worst case scenario plans we needed to be looking at if DS was going to fail as they predicted. Cue massive back-pedalling by pointing out how many strategies they have in place to stop that happening and if he goes to Easter school and some extra lessons they are offering him and does two extra exams that seem to have appeared out of nowhere he is capable of getting enough Cs to get in college of his choice.
I felt quite sorry for him as he's been stewing this up all day so almost hugged him when he gave an audible sigh of relief when this was pointed out to him. He's one of those boys who is like a self fulfilling prophesy if you tell him he will fail he will. He just seems to need so much boosting to get him motivated to believe in himself.
Came home to get him fed them we are back for parents evening, will see how the teachers are with him if they are still on scare witless or supportive mode.
Have fun making the Easter bonnet with missymoo bossy

Ooo clocks! Forgot about that!
Also forgot I put her dress in the freezer yesterday - sticker adhesiveit's not shifting. I've tried picking, and it's now sitting with a bit of 'Elbow Grease' massaged in, hope it's not ruined, it's such delicate fabric. She's only worn it once and I don't remember a sticker <shrugs>
Bonnets sorted and a little easter basket for her "boyfriend" :eek:Bossymoo

Agh; won't be forgetting as on Easter Sunday we have a little church service on the village cricket pitch at sunrise (Son-rise). I was so excited it was later than usual advertised at 6.45.......now I know why; it will be 5.45.
Excelled myself for even my night owl standards by finishing and emailing a report at 2.51 this morning, having spent the day chatting with MIL and friends instead of writing. Traffic was unbelievably awful today in both directions, a combination of road works, bridge re-building and accidents apparently. Maybe I should get another motor bike, I haven't ridden solo for over 30 yrs.
Mumof2 well done with keeping strong. I'm afraid it doesn't really sound as if your DH is making as much effort as you are.
Finished a letter to go in an Easter card today in between students.
Had a lovely, easy, straightforward dyslexic girl to assess this afternoon. Suspect tomorrow's will be similar (only male). Will brace myself for the MH health one next week, also another multilingual one.
I suspect I won't get a great deal done this eve, have started doing the dinner with Mr N so I think a slob evening catching up on a couple of recorded programs may be all I can manage. Don't intend to be writing any reports later than 11pm that's for sure.Remember...a layer of dust protects the wood beneath it.0 -

Waves to all in thread...
I have an extra 2 units of blood inside me and I do feel a lot better and brighter in myself.
Looking forward to tomorrow. I have been to the hospital every day so far this week, so hoping for a proper sofa day tomorrow.:jFlylady and proud of it:j0 -
Bossy when do you go away.?
Next month, kiddies have another week at school. They are off Friday and Monday, back in for 4 days then off for two weeks
Glad you're feeling better, CY xxx
Phew, think the sticky stuff is dissolved! It's roughed the fabric up a bit from rubbing, but I'll get the de-bobbler on it when dry. It's patterned so hopefully won't be noticeable
DS is still awake and *snooking* he keeps asking me to go up so I think I'll head to bed. He can nod off with me - still small enough to carry him back to his room
Night all!Bossymoo

Enjoy your sofa day CY, we think you deserve it.
back from parents evening didn't go too bad, most of the teachers were positive only one gave him a really hard time. I've suggested he goes to Easter school and takes all the extra offers of help and just does as much revision as he can without panicking.
In work all day tomorrow so will be busy then.
Glad I've not got the school hols you've got bossy, we break up tomorrow night then have next two weeks after that off. I suppose with the Bol spread over different areas people stand the chance of getting a cheaper away and are still able to go while kiddies are off. Unless travel agents just hike it over the whole period!SPC~12 ot 124

that sounds a bit odd Bossy... it is probably because the spring terms has been so very short to try to even it up a bit. .. Mine finish tomorrow and go back on the 11th and 12th.. I am hoping the summer term kills off a few germies.. Poor Squeak is really not a happy little buny today.. she went to bed at 5:30 after falling asleep on the sofa when she got home from school.. She got her 100% attendance certificate today for this term so I might keep her off tomorrow
.. She won't actually stay off which is why she went today.. DD2 has now got a sore throat so shes next by the looks of it!
