Yes, they can't afford it.No, they won't. They will just stay at home rather than vote for either. My 65 year old father, a trade union activist, ex-steel worker, Labour voter and shop steward all his life... did just that in May. As did three of my uncles. There's nothing to make them vote for either. No nose holding required. SNP voters far outnumber Conservative voters if traditional Labour voters stay at home. Those Labour voters that have switched recently, either went to the SNP in 2015, or to Conservative in 2016. The Conservatives still only managed 22% to the SNP's nearly 50%.
The Labour voters left are those like my dad.

Ruth Davidson MORE than knows the score, she's far from stupid. She knows exactly what will happen in Scotland should Johnson ever lead the Conservatives.
Funny that as I know several similar age and background people who rather than waste a vote, decided to vote Conservative instead of sitting at home. Along with many others including SNP voters. Hope Sturgeon and Swinney (who carelessly lost 12% of his vote share) got the message.
As for the rest of your posturing above , too tired to bother tbh. There's a referendum to vote in today.0 -

But why should I give up, when it all seems so stupid ?0 -

To be fair, if some of the Celtic countries quit the UK it will at least improve England's budget position.0 -

It's undoubtedly that.
I'm not going to offer an opinion on whether independence is a better or worse option for Scotland now than it was 21 months ago, because the truth is that we simply don't know what happens next for the UK as a whole. But undoubtedly this result gives Sturgeon the hand to call another referendum which I do not feel she had two days ago.0 -

Well it is the one she mentioned ... but let's see her squirm her way out of it ... I want indy, but even I recognise our country ain't ready for another campaign, not for a couple of years yet, so we need to see what her excuses are ...
Next we need BoJo as Pm then no chance of labour getting in power in 2020 then maybe ... maybe that will be enough for the No voters ...0
