On your "nonsense" nonsense, Shaka_Zulu has replied to your remark -- it seems you did not get my meaning.

Although many take Sturgeon's letter as a request, you took pains to inform me that it was not a request: are you now saying it was, actually a request --- or was it just a little game?

May making sure that Scots can't express their opinion? Where has she said that; it's about timing as you yourself have said.

As for the hostile nature of the SNP Neverendum, it's "requested" at the worst possible time for the UK in terms of getting a good negotiation with the EU. It's a wrecking gambit, a transparently hostile act. The SNP is fooling nobody.
The wheels are in motion now string. The Scottish Parliament has made it's request. There's not a lot anyone can do now to stop the constitutional s**t show and legal can of worms that will be opened when May says no.

I still don't see how asking people what they want regarding their own nation's future within a 'union of equal partners' can hostile. We might vote No after all. England/Wales can still leave the EU and take the path they want. No one is stopping you from doing so.

    I don't think I see Mr Zulu's posts.
It all seems so stupid it makes me want to give up.
But why should I give up, when it all seems so stupid ?

Well if what you say really is true, then May should have no probs whatsoever with issuing a section 30. Public opinion is King. May's too scared to ask what it is, Sturgeon isn't. Simple as that.

There won't be any U turn. But truly, try and grasp the fact that this GE has no bearing on the recent Scottish Govt seeking a section 30 for a second referendum whatever happens. It'll still be sought, or else bypassed. :)
...and public opinion in Scotland on Indyref2 is not to have it...so why is she bleating on instead of getting on with her day job. I guarantee I've been in her constituency more often than she has!

As I have said many times before the Nats just put their fingers in their ears and sing lalalalala and now block you if they don't like the message.

No doubt if they ever take control of our fine country we will all be shipped off to the gulag for showing any dissent to the cult.

    What a bunch of fannies!

NS says she's going to put Corbyn in No. 10? (Unless it's the Emergency Ward one?). As the demented Elantan would say...Aye Right!

Sorry you are wrong as you are seriously overestimating their capabilities to be honest.

Can anyone tell me what the Scottish Parliament has legislated on in say the last 12 months?

And I hope the very clever people of Scotland can see through her and choose to get rid of her once and for all.

I will certainly not entertain any SNP who MIGHT come knocking at my door.

I think they are too scared to face up to anyone who does not agree with them.

I would give them a list of all their failings.

If NS is so sure the people of Scotland want Independence why is she not calling an advisory referendum RIGHT NOW? Why is she even getting involved...I thought Angus was the man?

Yes, it's always suuuuuch a good look for Labour leaning voters in Scotland to see their party refusing a helping hand in keeping the Tories out of office. Did their vote in Scotland absolute wonders in 2015 I can tell you. They managed to save 1 MP out of it.

All other parties in Scotland should follow their lead I definitely 100% agree with that. Eh ginge ! ;)

I suppose labour voters in Scotland are going to have to decide who they are more sick of.
A uk govt who ignores them but supports the union or a Scottish govt who ignores them and wants to destroy it.

If only they had a credible leader who looked like possibly being able to form a reasonable centre left party.

You can judge how things are going and what people think in Glasgow and Scotland by the nicknames buildings are given.

The new Queen Elizabeth Hospital was at first given the quaint and quite nice nickname of the "Betty"

Unfortunately the new nickname is not quite so endearing it is now called "The Death Star"
