To have validity to a SNP acolyte, the message has to be delivered in a tweet with a blue and white background !

    It winds you up. :A
It all seems so stupid it makes me want to give up.
But why should I give up, when it all seems so stupid ?

Doesn't matter what background it comes in if it's true. The above map is the future you're facing without Scotland and perhaps NI. Time to face real facts now after Wednesday rather than relying on tired old snipes about acolytes.

This is your economic future in handy map form.

Scotland meanwhile can look forward to this economic disaster.

i just seen on the news the scots export more to England than to the whole of the EU..might be a project fear thing tho, I don't trust the BBC.

Tell that to the farmers when they lose their subsidies and go onto WTO tariffs. Or science dept's who lose funding etc etc.

The UK is a net contributor before you get too carried away.

If you want to see wasted money use of taxpayers money. I can recommend Spain. Plenty of roads to nowhere. Literally.

As for science and innovation funding. There's little to no control of how the money is spent. Vast sums are spent on anything but research.

The EU's CAP will never be reformed. France has to subsidise inefficient farmers. Without doing so. Market forces would simply blow them away. Around 80% of farmers payments have no bearing on the produce they harvest. All goes on land maintenance.

England exports quite a bit in the other direction though. As for keeping the oil field quiet why bother. Scotland is the only economic basket case in the world with oil reserves. We should surely all know that by now.

Thankfully oil will be kept well out of any future campaign regarding independence.

These people will still vote with their pockets if offered the chance of staying as they are or similar though. That was my point. Businesses and farms that rely on funding or single market membership will want to keep it. Simple as that I suppose at the end of the day.

Clearly not up on world current affairs then?

Venezuela might be interesting to look at. Lower cost economy, massive oil reserves, a socialist government and they have abject poverty and starvation. But you go girl, preach it to the converted.

Hardly much in the way of the converted on places like these. ;) But boring echo chambers like Wings and other pro indy places aren't my thing. I like seeing both sides of the coin, even if not convinced by one and I actually like chatting and bantering with you and others on here. We're not going to change the world.

Oil though, lets not got there. Forget I mentioned it. :o
