Ohhh it's being highlighted that now that Sturgeon has called a new indy ref May can not barter away the fishing rights of Scotland as Mr Farage suggested yesterday ... interesting if true

Oh goodness no. Since Brexit no one bothers with all that having ducks in rows and peer reviewed stuff before referendums. ;)

Sturgeon won't hold off until after the UK leaves. Staying in the Single Market is her red line and she won't cross it. Probably will do whatever it takes Section 30 refusals, court cases, elections if necessary in order to stay in and enable a vote before 2019. It's why she announced her intentions today. The window she's chosen as I've said is when the UK/EU deal is already known and goes to spend about 6 months being ratified in the EU parliament.

    Subject to change? :)

48hours after getting stuffed in the rugby...

    An overreaction maybe....

    ;)

    That was pretty painful.

For a Scot, it was like one of those scenes in Game of Thrones where you're hoping that the inexperienced but enthusiastic team *aren't* going to have a pike rammed somewhere painful, but then they do

The business of applied terminology is unclear to me and I'd like to know what that red line means in practice

Can you explain what a Hard Brexit means to Sturgeon and the SNP
( She has said that the Tories are leading us into a Hard Brexit) is that the same as leaving membership of the Single Market?

Also what does Single Market mean to her --- the tariff free part, the freedom of movement part, the supremacy of the European Court or what..What does she claim the "Tory end state" for the UK will be?

By the way - I see Sturgeon had a "Trump Moment" with a reporter today - something about the reporter answering his own question. Didn't see the whole press conference, just a few minutes either side of that event since I was given fresh orders by my SWMBO.

Anyone else see that - it might make such Sturgeon's events slightly interesting.

They're interesting all right, about as interesting as a toddler having a tantrum.

Belgium, Italy, Spain and others all have potential break away regions on thier hands.

I cannot see them voting to allow Scotland entry, for years and years at least.

I'd be far more impressed with Scotland seeking full independence rather than looking for the next teat. Are you frightened of full autonomy of the kind other independent nations are comfortable with?

It was probably manufactured to make NS look bad. This sort of thing will ramp up again as it's one of Westminster's manipulative dirty tricks.

Anyone else feeling that May hasn't been tested yet, but people seem to be putting their faith in her on a number of important decisions?
It wasn't that long ago she was under pressure to resign for some immigration mess.

Manufactured? Haha you cannot be serious... the journo was getting to her, fishing, and she took a bite. Attempted a small back peddle towards the end with a 'quip' a newly turned teenager would be proud of.
