Vice versa in the opposite case. SNP only or SNP and Green, no other preferences given to any other candidates. However it's a council election, not a referendum rerun and people really should be voting for councilors they think will do the best for their local communities.

For those who follow Scottish media/live here ( elantan, beecher, Hamish and any others ) has it seemed to you that there's been a bit of a stark.. for want of a better phrase 'oh s**t this referendum is actually going to happen' type realisation from the usual media commentators such as David Clegg ( the Daily Record ), David Torrance, Paul Sinclair and even the Economist ? Over the last week or so ? Ok none of them are exactly hanging out the bunting, but they've been saying for months that Sturgeon doesn't really want to do it, holding out for more powers, the SNP are on tae plums blah blah. Almost as if they've just realised there actually IS a pro indy majority in Holyrood and that Sturgeon and Harvie might actually go through with it. Or is it just me ?

Oh and no Scottish Six. I see that's going down a treat...

I've noticed the only people saying there should be another indy ref are Mundell and May ... everyone else is talking like ... when the next indy ref comes along

I've also noticed an almost resignation from a few no people that it will be a yes this time, and the amount of people saying they would now vote yes is building up, I didn't expect David Tennant for example

I've also noticed the Yoon brigade have upped their frothing, Jill Stephenson being the perfect example there, but also Daisley, the express, mail etc

And the most telling for me ... the yes camp are beavering away

I thunk next indy ref will be no where near as polite as the first one ... I just really hope it's a short campaign

I did wonder if BBC2's time line programme was an attempt at appeasing the no Scottish six ?

Of course, the problem with this massive upsurge in support is that Nicola isn't prepared to pull the trigger.

Lets just hope that opinions don't drift back the other way before she finally gets on with things. After all, the last thing you want is to wake up in autumn 2018 to find out in that things aren't as bad as the SNP told you they would be...

I think it's not that she won't pull the trigger ... it's more to do with she needs to wait it out to see if May will totally ignore the proposals

To pull the starting pistol before would be stupid

But you know this already and so do many people ... the mad desperate rush to get Sturgeon to pull the trigger is an obvious pitfall that I hope Sturgeon wont fall for ... and so far she doesnt seem to be

    Ah yes. Wait and see.

I wonder if she would be waiting and seeing if the polls were at 60%.

Of course, it always helps to promote an image where one is in control and makes the decisions.
Ironic that in the domestic areas that Ms Sturgeon does actually have control and make decisions she seems reluctant to actually do so.

I think she would have to wait and see ... otherwise she people like yourself would be accusing her of not waiting and seeing .. either way she can't win

For me the more interesting question should be what would Sturgeon do if May gave her what she thinks is right for the people of Scotland, would Sturgeon backoff from Indy ? And of so the why doesn't May do it ? Does May really want Scotland to go independent?

To suggest that topic is high up Mrs May's priority list is just hopeful thinking.

Maybe saving the union isn't high on May's list of priorities and that is perfectly fine by me ;)
