There’s a little woman I know who is from the Glasgow area and she always gets her own way. If there is a committee meeting she is aggressive. She interrupts. She tries to belittle the point of view of others. People avoid getting into an argument with her because rather than discuss calmly she gets emotional. She makes assertions which are really just her own opinions, but they are presented as truths. If someone crosses her she will bear a grudge, but at the same time she is a sycophant always trying to find allies and sucking up to superiors.

I’m sure most of us know men and women like this in the world of work or elsewhere. The problem is that these tactics frequently work. Most of us want a quiet life. If I come across Mr Angry on the street I do my best to avoid eye contact.

The problem in Scottish politics is that we are confronted with legions of Mr and Mrs Angry lead by the angriest woman of them all. The problem is that they have been indulged. They have been spoiled. No-one dares to stand up to them.

That is quite a good description of Effie Dean's and Jill Stephenson and Jk Rowling when she gets started male abuser wise we have Daisley and spinner oh and Ian smart can't forget old Ian

Murdo is starting to become a tad unhinged as well ... and Ruth who I actually used to respect quite a lot ... I feel sorry for the Tory voters in Scotland having this two leading them

    Yeah, that's another one

I will be honest when some Yessers started going on about Larkhall on Thursday I did engage with them and let them know they are bang out if order, not everyone from Larkhall is OO ... and some OO members are Yessers

I think most meme though centered around characters rather than beliefs ... and the characters they centered around were individuals that had been shown to have conections when they previously appeared

I worry about Jill. She's in ill health and I don't think she's doing herself much good by posting toxic tweets. Did you see her "those f***ers from south of the border" tweet? Not good.

NICOLA Sturgeon spent almost £140,000 of public money on a doomed intervention in the UK Supreme Court hearing on Article 50, it has emerged.

Shouldn't that money have come from SNP coffers? Or is there none left so they have to take it from the Scottish people to pay for their political grandstanding.

Mind you we wouldn't expect anything else.

    No,

I'm saying the 'joke' about the man with the flute possibly tuning up for QT was clearly a sectarian based joke. apparently it was so good it made Shakey laugh all day and even posted it here to let everyone know.
It wasn't about something in 1690, it was poking fun at who may possibly turn up at QT last Thursday.
Sectarianism blights part of Scotland and has no place here or in the modern world at all.
Change is inevitable, except from a vending machine.

Cheap at the price when Brexit might cost billions to Scotland.

And at least they released the figures. The UK Govt has ignored all FOI requests on their two Supreme court cases. Any ideas why ?
It all seems so stupid it makes me want to give up.
But why should I give up, when it all seems so stupid ?

Your right it has no place at all... and Yet it was front and centre for all to see on QT the time before Glasgow ....hence why the meme''s and the laughter ... this time I think it was decided to have a pre-emptive strike for any BBC nonsense

Well she has me blocked thankfully... but yes I did see them ... and I agree there seems to be something going on, she doesn't look very well and her erratic behaviour is getting even more erratic ...

No it was a joke based on a previous participant in QT who epitomised a general stereotype Orange Order/WATP/No Surrender type of person we all know and were last seen in a large group ( excluding the thankfully dying out Orange Walks ) rampaging all over George Square on 15th Sept 2014.

That Dimbleby, albeit inadvertently, chose the chap in the orange jacket to comment on a prominent BBC show on a question focusing on Scottish issues... and then beamed into millions of homes a man who fits this WATP type stereotype was both cringingly embarrassing and slightly amusing at the same time.

Most on social media chose to go with the amusing angle when the show came to Glasgow and the distinct possibility of another stereotype character appearing arose again. Thankfully the BBC seem to have been bit more on the ball in their vetting procedures this time round. If there's one thing that I do think has changed in social media pro indy commentary over the last few years is that *instead of reacting with anger, most reaction has now been replaced by wry amusement and satire at the predictably of it all. Especially when it comes to some shows on the BBC.

*I welcome it, and so should you. These memes weren't about bigotry, they were about up until now lax vetting procedures and perceived unbalanced audience selections on BBC Question Time. Nothing to do with sectarianism.
