Some parts of the world think England ( and Wales ) have gone totally tonto.
Who on earth would take any notice a piece in the NY Times?
When it's as accurate as:-Its prices are set to go up after Britain leaves the European Union.
Why after. Why not now.......
Any way Marmite isn't made in the Netherlands just good old Burton on Trent. So who owns the Company is irrelevant.0 -

Why on earth ? It should be pretty obvious to even folks like you that the UK press is 95% in favour of Brexit and report, spin and selectively report stories as appropriate to this view ?
If you're looking for balance, you're not going to find it in the Telegraph, the Mail or the Express. And unfortunately the BBC seems to take their lead from the press when deciding what the important news of the day is.
The fact is that May is indeed willing to risk everything on the back of reducing immigration to the UK while hoping to have the same or better kind of deal the UK has already with the EU/rest of the World. Good luck to her but it doesn't mean that it will end well in economic terms. It all seems so stupid it makes me want to give up.
But why should I give up, when it all seems so stupid ?0 -

In a way Robin makes sense, I don't agree with everything he says and for me.2018 was the right time for next indy ref ... but maybe 2020 would be a better year ?0 -

For someone that so pro independence. Your statement simply highlights the gaping flaws in your arguments. Nothing in life is black and white. There's an overwhelming mass of grey in the middle.0 -

You're not even close with your perception of how the press view brexit. You must be living in a bubble of Scottish nationalism to have missed the guardian, independent, spectator, economist, BBC, sky, channel 4, times, etc.. Pretty big 5% there...0 -
Ach QT was boring for popcorn ... but interesting to watch in other respects0

I'd been snorting laughing all day at the Dimbleby meme's. 'You there, yes you at the back with the flute'. :rotfl: Happy proved wrong. It all seems so stupid it makes me want to give up.

Yeah, you can't beat a bit of sectarianism to get a good laugh.Change is inevitable, except from a vending machine.0
