Some parts of the world think England ( and Wales ) have gone totally tonto.
The same NY Times that had to apologise to its readership for being so biased and misleading?
The same NY Times that aligns itself with people who are setting fire to themselves and rioting in the streets because they lost an election?
That NY Times?
Give me a break with your opinion pieces.
Stick to facts.0 -

Ah well, at least you made use of the word "take" eh?
Because as your link very clearly states, this is all OPINION - one person's unlikely view of possibility.
Not fact.
Oh and BTW re that last sentence of yours, that is just plain wrong.
Now if you had started that sentence with "Some people in ...... " you might just have been accurate.
But the reality is that (generally speaking, as you were) no-one (outside the EU for sure and maybe some of the Commonwealth) really cares about the UK.
Or indeed anyone apart from themselves, TBH.0 -

Absolutely sure you've got that definition of the UK correct?
The irony is incredible; had WM disrespected Scotland the way you have just done to Wales and NI we wouldn't have heard the last of it!0 -

Is this the kind of stuff you read?
And to address the pro-indy comments, if England goes under even if Scotland is independent, you'll go with us. It's the same for the UK if the EU and the Eurozone goes under. Everyone needs to have strong economies to encourage growth. Germany in a recession isn't going to buy as much from the UK, similarly England in recession isn't going to buy as much from Scotland. Everyone loses.
That piece is a dramatic work of fantasy. Like 'The Shining' only for Brexit.
What is it with people these days who are unable to actually think?
I read loads of things ... that doesn't mean I agree or believe everything I read ..0 -

.........and the opinion of a British Leftist Remainiac it would seem.
Hardly the views of certain "parts of the world" as Shakey would have us believe.“Britain- A friend to all, beholden to none”. 🇬🇧0 -

Oh, and it is the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, not kingdoms. It is the UK that is the sovereign nation. Scotland does not even get a mention as it is part of Great Britain. What is this life if, full of care, we have no time to stand and stare0 -

Stick to facts. Her intention is to sacrifice Britain’s membership in the European single market, something necessary for the economy to function as it is now configured, to gain full control over immigration policy, which is not.
In short, she is planning to profoundly alienate key industries and trading partners to score populist popularity points. It all seems so stupid it makes me want to give up.
But why should I give up, when it all seems so stupid ?0 -
