Then the Scottish Govt will have to word the question differently to 2014 and turn it into an advisory 'conversation' with the Scottish electorate seeking their views.
We all know already that "Sturgeon has No Legal Right to "Call" Referendum" but just to clarify the situation.

Now this "conversation" I thought the SNP had one that ended a month or so back. Where are the results? I guess it didn't make good reading, which is surprising since it was almost wholly completed by the converted and ignored by the majority.

Scottish Government only just manage to get their budget through the Scottish Parliament by doing a deal with the "lentil-munching sandal-wearing watermelons". :rotfl:

Yet another example of the incompetence of the SNP:-
SNP minister had to be briefed on work of HIE board weeks after he revealed plans to scrap it
A senior SNP minister had “little awareness” of how the organisation tasked with boosting the Highland economy works as he prepared to water it down.
The Press and Journal can reveal bosses at Highlands and Islands Enterprise (HIE) had to “explain” the agency’s role to Keith Brown – despite the cabinet member conducting a review into its role.
Economy Secretary Mr Brown has been under fire over his decision to scrap the HIE board, leaving it to be subsumed into a new national body.
The SNP have been forced into a rethink after the plans were rebuffed by opposition MSPs, who joined forces earlier this month to defeat the SNP proposals in parliament.
But Mr Brown is now facing fresh pressure after it emerged HIE bosses had to “explain” the role of the agency because the cabinet minister had “little awareness” of its role.
Even more centralisation, we all know how well the others have gone!!
The Scottish people have had enough0 -

Oh I see, that old excuse.
Every time you make a fool of yourself by posting some piece of nonsense you use 'sarcasm' as your get out of jail free card. By doing so you only make yourself look even more foolish.:)0 -

So now you want to use my dislike that anyone can put anything they want on twitter true or not, to defend the support of IRA terrorist murderers by a representative of the SNP?
He wrote it and pressed send/tweet.
Was this just another one of these weird "jokes"?
I love how you've backed yourself into a corner. Either you agree that twitter is full of crap and you need to stop using it, or you agree that the SNP harbours terrorist supporters.

Came across this. Apologies if its been posted already.Three Reasons Why Bexit has Failed to boost support for Scottish Independence

The 'conversation' I'm talking about is a vote, Scotland wide asking for Scottish voters views. She does have the legal right to call one of those. A referendum by any other name.
Political parties don't usually release the results of private polling. It all seems so stupid it makes me want to give up.
But why should I give up, when it all seems so stupid ?0 -

This is literally nonsense!
A "conversation" is neither a "vote" nor a "referendum".
You wouldn't normally express a "view" whilst voting either; that would be a choice.
Barrel; bottom of, being scraped.:rotfl:0 -

Yes and aren't Scottish Labour, Scottish Tories, and Lib Dems all hopping mad about it too. All hoping for a big row and a possible new election in Scotland as the budget fell. BBC Scotland seem pretty disappointed as well.
Thank goodness Harvie has more sense. Went for compromise rather than just a 'win' over the SNP. Fabulous. :TThey have so contorted themselves into a rictus of hatred over the rise and rise of the SNP that reason has deserted them.
Yet in my bag, I’m not sure one raging Unionist has raised his eyes to see it. There is no analysis of an almost opposition-free government. No assessment of the economic impact of Brexit on Scotland, despite a wealth of data. Whether I rant or write constructively the message is mostly the same – a football chant of hate slogans and the tired tope of Braveheart.
The worry has to be that there is a lost bloc of voters who will sign up to anything so long as it is against the SNP.
Bateman got this spot on with some in Scotland. It all seems so stupid it makes me want to give up.

John Mason is there because voters in his constituency put him there. He's always been a loose cannon and am sure Sturgeon would like nothing more than to get rid of him asap.
However with council elections in May and Brexit etc she perhaps has bigger fish to fry. I won't be stopping using Twitter no.It all seems so stupid it makes me want to give up.
