So you're actually impressed that the 300 years of union got Scotland nowhere and did them no economic good whatsoever and was a complete waste of time?
Priceless! :rotfl::T
What a ridiculous statement.We were bankrupt before asking for union to save us from the abject poverty we found ourselves in.
Now in 2016 we find our country as part of one of the wealthiest union of countries in the world.
We have access to just about the best health cover for every citizen whether rich or poor,we also have housing which is the envy of most countries in the world.
From my perspective living on an Island historically mired in poverty and misery we have moved to to a point where transport to the mainland both by land and air is subsidized.and affordable to most people
Housing is massively subsidized for most, especially crofters and you can watch 4 and 5 bedroom houses sprouting everywhere.
This is a dream scenario.
We have that dream.
Do we really want the crank separatists to take us back to bankruptcy simply to fulfill their ideology?Nationalism is an infantile disease. It is the measles of mankind. - Albert Einstein.

I'm a bit 'Meh'.
Wake me up when oil hits $113 and looks certain to stay there or above for the long term and production reverts to the levels of 5 years ago or higher.;)“The great enemy of the truth is very often not the lie – deliberate, contrived, and dishonest – but the myth, persistent, persuasive, and unrealistic.

Good god,do you have any understanding of the union at all?
The "oil" belongs to the UK not Scotland.
If you know of any international law that disputes this claim then please make us all aware of it.
