What if an SNP government with sufficiently devolved powers looking after Scotland and a Conservative majority looking after the UK result in a great situation for Scotland. Would you still want independence? Would you take a worse situation for all Scots so that you can be free of Westminster?Yes I would still want independence

Yes I would still want independence as I believe we can do better making our own decisions as we are the ones that have to live with the consequences ... we are intelligent enough and have proven many times more than capable enough so a parliament of which we are only 10% represented will never look after us as good as we can ever look after ourselves
Just like I believe all countries should be
The rest of that response ... in case you missed it0 -
Oh and another positive about the vote ... no UKIP ... delighted with that one0

Ha ha ha ha you have not got a clue ... but you are funny ... just to remind you there's more than snp for indy
The high watermark for Scottish independence under neoliberalism has been and gone, I'm afraid. You won't get any substantial change to the political landscape by voting SNP either.
If Scots want to make a real difference then they need to vote Labour in 2020. But as Scotland seems to have an almost 100% record of shooting itself in both feet every time there is a pivotal ballot over its future, I am not holding my breath.0 -

Did you make that one up ?
It's still a yes government with the most seats ...
Labour are where they deserve to be ... I don't see that changing anytime soon0 -

Any pretend country and its 'assembly' can do that.
Where it all falls down of course is that Holyrood is merely spending other peoples money and the SNP are engaging in an exercise in hoodwinking the terminally dim that independence is affordable. Swinney`s desperation to keep Barnett should tell most Scots all they need to know, some won't see it though.“Britain- A friend to all, beholden to none”. 🇬🇧0 -

Maybe SNP HQ has been too depressed to issue the spin/talking-points denying what a bad result this was for them yet?
Some of us have been at work and napping after a late night/unsettled sleep watching the results.
You can spin it however much you like Hamish but the fact remains there are more pro Indy MSP's at Holyrood than anti.
I'm quite enjoying your excited gleeful posts but do try and remember this important fact.
I'm a little disappointed in my constituency. We remain labour after a recount revealed 109 votes between the incumbent and the SNP challenger. Faslane had something to do with her victory I'm sure.0
