It doesn't really matter about the colour of your politicians.

The big constraint still remains. The voter base.

Alex and his mates have told everyone they can have the Moon on a stick paid for using easy repayments. Voters still buy in to this.

Some day, they are going to get annoyed at that big old moon stubbornly shining down, with the man in the moon laughing at them.

(If you could see it, which is questionable given the amount of cloud you get oop North)

Very few independence supporters buy into the above. Just feel Scotland would be better run politically, socially and economically from Holyrood than from Westminster. It's not that difficult a concept to grasp I wouldn't have thought.

The EU ref is being fought along exactly the same lines.
It all seems so stupid it makes me want to give up.
But why should I give up, when it all seems so stupid ?

Last night's leaders debate was meh, I reckon Patrick won it, Ruth appeared awfy shouty rude and caught with out, no doubt a photo op of her doing something will appear shortly, Kezia looked lost, Willie was surplus to requirement, although he got a couple of points across, Nicola was ok, nothing great though,

Will be glad when Thursday is over

Missed the first half of it. But from what I can gather it was all about independence again. Same old 'once in a generation' stuff with the audience balanced 3 to 1 against ( unionist parties v's SNP/Green ).

I know the below EU ref result is unlikely, but I'd definitely be joining you with a HUGE bag of popcorn if this comes into play.

    Getting sunnier.
What's behind the rise of nearly two-thirds in the price of Brent crude oil, and where is it going next? Blogged:

The softening of Scottish economic performance - much of it driven by the weakness in the oil and sector, though probably not all - has barely registered in the campaign.
That may be because the worst appears to be over - or the best, if you're an oil consumer, and most of us are.
The price per barrel of global benchmark Brent Crude ended April just above $47. Since dipping briefly below $30 in January, it has risen by nearly two-thirds.

Really? No one ever comes second in North Korea....
There’s even an argument about the dangers of majority government. Imagine – in a modern democratic state, deploying a proportional voting system, intelligent people are actually worried that someone might win the election. Indeed, rational people have taken to calling a democratic majority in a multi-party system a one-party state.

And they say we’re the fruitcakes!

I didn't think it was all about independence, I just reckoned the BBC want us to think that, they tried to extend it almost ..Ruth Kez and Willie said they would go against the people of Scotland oh and as you correctly said, once in a generation ... that never gets old lol ..Nicola and Patrick for the people so nothing new there.

The main discussion really surrounded employment, education NHS WM not delivering on the Shipyard promises etc

I did see that poll and would so love that to be the outcome mawah ha ha ha ... I think I would need to buy a whole truckload of popcorn for that one

You staying up Thursday? I think our next bet is gonna be who comes second .. as usual a bag of good quality coffee will be up for the winner :)

I'm struggling to see what they are buying into then. Dream sellers are two a penny.

You need grimness in your life.

Imagine you are David Coulthard, flicking through the holiday brochure, getting depressed at how few places look better than your Monaco home.

Now imagine you are doing the same brochure shopping from your home in the less salubrious end of Glasgow or Bradford or Salford. Almost every page in the brochure would seem like the ideal holiday !
