Depends if it's in the wider interests of the UK as a whole. Mrs May has no need to accede to demands. After all NS doesn't speak for the majority of Scotland at the current time.
She does when it comes to remaining in the EU in some form that won't harm Scottish interests. She is the First Minister of Scotland remember. Elected too.
It all seems so stupid it makes me want to give up.
But why should I give up, when it all seems so stupid ?

clearly Nicola doesn't want any concessions, she will merely be using the situation to gain more support in Scotland for Iscotland.

any actual concessions with be a disaster for nicola so I'm sure any result with be presented accordingly.

Not really, she's doing what the Scottish Parliament asked her to do, which is to explore every single option available. This is what all the other parties in Scotland wanted too ( not sure what the Scottish Tories want now ). If it fails and she gets nothing over the coming few months, it'll be on the other parties to decide which way they'll jump afterwards. Sturgeon can only turn to them and say 'I tried'.... time to fire the indy ref gun.

Hopefully May might be amenable to options being explored too.

The FT thinks it's a sensible approach. It's a 'soft' Brexit for Scotland which is would dampen down considerably calls for a second referendum. And we still don't know what kind of Brexit the UK as a whole are going to have yet.

Why would Theresa May want to rule it out altogether as a possibility ? We've also gone this week ( in the Scottish media at least ) from the Tories blocking another referendum, to in fact not blocking it but just delaying it until after Brexit. I read this comment the other day, and he's right. Westminster has already agreed to the Scots right to self determination by agreeing to the first referendum.

Anyway, let's see what tomorrow brings.

I doubt we will get much tomorrow and will not know the actual in-going position until article 50 is announced or maybe even later. What could happen is a statement like "as soft as possible" or something like that without the specifics.but with a few "refinements". That's probably the most you could expect but maybe what is more likel is a refusal to be more specific than what has been said already, citing the need to keep the powder dry. As I wrote before, it would be a better negotiation position the let the EU look into the abys of a hard brexit from their perspective I.e. not go in as supplicant but as a potential partner to be won over. From that perspective all the doon saying, the pompous demands of many politicians to debate every little detail and the SNP distraction are all flaming nuisances.

Other things of interest for tomorrow, of course, will be those that affect N.Ireland, Wakes and so on - it's not all about Nicola Sturgeon you know.

So she'll engineer something to further the SNP cause in the media and to appease the supporters. Knowing that Mrs May can offer no guarantees. As the outcome itself has no certainty.

You might have missed the thread title somewhere along the line.

You also might want to revise that to include other political parties in Scotland. Did you forget there are some ?
Scottish Labour leader Kezia Dugdale is urging the First Minister to negotiate on behalf of all the people of Scotland, not just those who support independence, when she meets the Prime Minister for Brexit talks.

In a letter to Nicola Sturgeon Ms Dugdale sets out the five guiding principles that Scottish Labour believes should inform the Scottish Government's negotiating stance on Brexit.
They include maintaining free access to the EU single market and maintaining free access to the UK single market.
She also said that Ms Sturgeon's focus should be on securing the best possible deal for Scotland on Brexit, not "laying the groundwork'' for another Scottish independence referendum.

..."The First Minister has my full support in efforts to secure the best possible deal for Scotland. The best deal will allow us to retain what is best about our relationship with the EU while remaining an integral part of the UK.

...In her letter Ms Dugdale states that the other guiding principles should be full protection of the rights of EU citizens resident in Scotland and securing repatriation of powers from Brussels to Scotland in areas such as agriculture, fisheries and environmental policy.
http://www.forth1.com/scottish-news/sturgeon-must-focus-on-securing-best-brexit-deal-for-all-in-scotland/#.WAynDDxkE5h.twitter ( full article at link, too long to post ).

Sturgeon is doing what Dugdale and Rennie want. Davidson has gone awol, last seen on Have I Got News for You and a tv Baking programme. Patrick Harvie was on Scottish Sunday Politics this morning saying he wouldn't be using an independence referendum as a way push through what he and the Scottish Greens want in Holyrood ( they hold the balance of power ). He'll be supporting a referendum if it comes to it.

She's giving Theresa May some rope.

Forcing the other Scottish political parties in one direction or another regarding the Union on the basis of Conservative party intransigence when it comes to Scotland in the EU... Isn't an untruth it's a certainty.

Is either that or May mulls over the options seriously.

Yep she's got council elections to win in 2017. Very important for her to keep them onside.
Edit I mean keep stringing them along with rhetorical soundbites.
