I used to like her, can't stand her now, but do like Anabel Goldie for some reason, Murdo really made an idiot of himself the other week ... I thought he stood potential to be a new leader but after that behaviour nae chance
Did you read Muriel Gray's disgusting tweet today? I used to respect her but that was disgraceful, trying to score political points off the back of Hillsborough
Yes I read the tweet. She's well jumped the shark along with most other's in that JK Rowling/Brian Spanner clique on Twitter. They're just scared. They can see Scotland slipping away from the union and are lashing out at anything however distasteful.
Davidson is personable. But relies too much on her 'fun' personality and hiding the fact that she's a Conservative. Put her on the spot to answer difficult questions like Sturgeon did during the Leader's debates and she crumbles. Davidson and Dugdale ( like Murphy and others before her ) are far, far too used to getting an easy ride from the Scottish media. It all seems so stupid it makes me want to give up.
But why should I give up, when it all seems so stupid ?0 -

It's not exactly the worlds best secret that the SNP want to push for Scottish independence. Anyone that votes for them, votes in the full knowledge that's exactly what they're voting for. And things are changing politically in Scotland.
This time in 2011, the SNP had only just overtaken Labour in a shock poll that no-one quite believed. Labour had loads of Westminster MP's and lots of Holyrood MSP's. Look at how things are now in Scotland ? My dad isn't even bothering to vote next week ( staunch old style Labour voter, ex shop steward, No voter ).
In general 'news'. Scottish Labour blew it today. Manifesto just 8 days before the vote, a live stream in a half filled hall that no-one could watch. A manifesto that didn't appear on their website for hours afterwards - just blank. And a total car crash interview for Kezia Dugdale tonight on tv. She was all over the place. She'll be gone by June. Anas Sawar waiting in the wings with his chequebook no doubt, as Kevin McKenna reports that Scottish Labour are running out of money. There's a reason he's top of the list vote.
I think personally that UK Labour have cut them loose ?It all seems so stupid it makes me want to give up.
But why should I give up, when it all seems so stupid ?0 -
Och maybe she can apply to the SNP for a job .... AGAIN0

Exactly.
Whilst we are trying to define the end goal, perhaps they should also throw in the outline of a credible plan to get there.
Scotland isn't any different to UK in some respects.
- It spends too much.
- It brings in too little.
- It faces rising costs in things like Health and Ageing demographics
The inspection goggles would be focussed on all these things should Scotland find itself newly independent.0 -
Have to admit I think ponsonby wiped the floor with Nicola tonight, he really is a good interviewer, we need him in Tricia's seat in HR ... he would keep them all in their toes
But wee Eck made up for it on QT ... so one bad one good for SNP tonight ... I call that a draw0 -
Labour probably aren't helping themselves with this squalid anti-Semitic spat. It really isn't a good look and must spill over into the upcoming elections.
Is anti-Semitism a problem in Scotland? There are some fairly obvious Sectarian ones.0 -
Not as far as I'm aware Gen, although probably like everywhere else there will be pockets of it if you went digging to find some.0
-
A quick Google seems to support that. Fewer than 10 reported cases of anti semetism versus several hundred people found guilty of secartian aggrivated assaults alone.0

Alex Salmond himself admits that 19 months on from his resignation that he still wakes up every morning thinking he is First Minister:-
