    Well precisely....

...yes, because barely 45% voted for the union using total electorate figures ( which are nonsense but if you insist ). That's bad stuff going forward. Not even half the Scottish electorate wanted to stay in the union 18 months ago. What a shame.
It all seems so stupid it makes me want to give up.
But why should I give up, when it all seems so stupid ?

Ruth Davidson has never won an election in her political life. She survives via media, a fun personality, trying to ignore as much as possible that she's part of the Conservative party and photo op's riding tanks and buffalo. Good luck with that.

I can sense your irritation that despite Scotland becoming 'another country' those nasty 'English' Tories just won't go away.
Did you not think that with majority of Scots wanting to remain within the Union that a growing number of them would vote for a party that has 'Unionist' in its title?

Oh my, a real live yooner troll. .

Nope.... I have consulted with Yooner HQ and they've checked the personnel files.... Even the secret Yooner-Agent ones held in the secure vault under the bridge.... We also called Yooner-Versity to see if he was a troll in training.

    But I can confirm...

He's not one of ours. :D

Should the Scottish electorate at some point in the future, indicate that a majority now wish to leave the UK. Then those wishes should also be respected, and lo.. a second referendum.

    That's rubbish.

The Scottish electorate cannot have indicated its wish to leave the UK until AFTER a referendum has been held and won.

Just because electors vote in SNP MSPs, that doesn't mean they necessarily want independence, nor that they agree wholly with the party manifesto, it can simply be that they think that candidate is the best of the bunch on offer, or even that they are using tactical voting to prevent a certain candidate or party from gaining that seat.

However you try and twist the figures, the fact remains that 62.2% of the Scottish Electorate did not vote to leave the Union.

That is a massive majority who do not actively want change, whether they voted in the last referendum or not.

The Tories and Labour are barely polling 40% between them in recent polls. The Tories had their worst ever showing at an election for decades just last May. Ruth Davidson came forth in 2011 in her constituency, but got a seat via the list system. She's never won an election. Ever.

I do personally like her, just like her predecessor Annabelle Goldie. But the Tories recent polling is down to the sheer scale of collapse of Labour voters defecting en masse to other parties, rather than any sort of real success on Scottish specific policies.

Glad to hear it. I'll report your findings back to Cybernat Central and close the file. ;)

Yes sure. A massive majority don't want change. What's going on with these polls then ? And the election last May ?
    Our new poll for @STVNews - #sp16 - Constituency - SNP 51%, Lab 19%, Cons 18% LDs 6%

    As for this

An election isn't all about party politics ? News to me.

I used to like her, can't stand her now, but do like Anabel Goldie for some reason, Murdo really made an idiot of himself the other week ... I thought he stood potential to be a new leader but after that behaviour nae chance

Did you read Muriel Gray's disgusting tweet today? I used to respect her but that was disgraceful, trying to score political points off the back of Hillsborough

Change to what? Still waiting to hear sustainable economic alternatives from any political party.
