Is it just me or do those that want Scotland to remain as park of the UK seem awfy disrespectful to those that want indy ? ... I know not all of them are like that, but there is a fair few of them on here
As opposed to those who so want independence being so "awfy" braw!
No rubbish or disrespect from them at all, eh?
Strangely, there seems to be a "fair few" of those on here too.

"desperation" in #2752 (I used "desperate");
"wishful thinking" in #2738 (I used "delusional");
and a really nice one in #2681 with "Don't talk crap." Is that better than "certifiable" then?
Heh, I must really have hit a sore spot.
The last resort, eh?
If you can't win an argument by debate ..........
Perhaps you may wish to consider the phrase beginning "people in glass houses .... ".
If you're classing myself as an iScotland supporter then yes, it was directed at me and others here like me.my original thought of iScotland supporters as being "desperate" or "deluded" is too mild for some; certifiable
I have absolutely no problem whatsoever with debate as long as it stays on topic and confined to the issues at hand. I'm not sure calling an entire swathe of intelligent people 'certifiable' ( as in certifiably insane I assume ) falls within that bracket.
Happy to discuss the Scottish issues otherwise with you though. I'm also happy to withdraw my 'don't talk crap' comment and replace it with 'complete nonsense' if that makes you feel better. It all seems so stupid it makes me want to give up.
But why should I give up, when it all seems so stupid ?0 -

Oh well that's job done then, since May has already stated that FOM is a red line.
So that's Scotland's economy screwed then when you subsequently vote to leave, immediately join the EU, have no tariff-free access to rUK and the border controls go up.
Will you still be using GBP at this point or will you have joined the euro?Do you have any actual evidence for that, or are you just taking wild stabs in the dark with your own opinion ? Genuine question.
Well I've already explained why it will not happen, but let's call it a wild stab in the dark if it makes you happier.0 -
Leanne1812 wrote: »Lol.......It almost seems like you want to blame Sturgeon if there is no single market access. Well, blame the brexiteers. They and only they hold responsibility for this.
Possibly Nicola will rejoice, can you blame her if it helps to fulfill her lifelong ambition to see Scotland as an independent nation?
Absolutely not. I shall rejoice if we're not in the single market.
The point I make is Nicola's apoplectic rantings about Scotland being denied the single market are merely a ploy. Part of the grudge and grievance routine whereby she can blame wicked Westminster if you're taken out.
What do you think your MEP meant when he suggested 'all the doors we need are now open'If I don't reply to your post,
you're probably on my ignore list.0 -

In context: original post says "In fact, it seems that my original thought of iScotland supporters as being "desperate" or "deluded" is too mild for some; certifiable may in fact be more appropriate."
You are therefore classifying yourself as being beyond "desperate" or "deluded". I referred only to "some".
You didn't hit a particular nerve. I just don't like to see threads descending into infantile name calling towards individuals or groups that may hold a differing opinion.
Then practise what you preach.
Just as one example, you called Scottish Labour and the Lib Dems (and hence all their supporters) "laughable" in #2510.
Tell me, do you consider that less infantile than "certifiable" - and why?
I have absolutely no problem whatsoever with debate as long as it stays on topic and confined to the issues at hand. I'm not sure calling an entire swathe of intelligent people 'certifiable' ( as in certifiably insane I assume ) falls within that bracket.
So when you said "May and Co are totally clueless about what Brexit means" in #2657 you didn't REALLY mean all who voted to leave the EU as well then?
Happy to discuss the Scottish issues otherwise with you though. I'm also happy to withdraw my 'don't talk crap' comment and replace it with 'complete nonsense' if that makes you feel better.0 -

I'm not too sure that the majority of brexiteers will share your view in leaving the single market. However, it is looking likely to be hard brexit. I'm just not convinced Scotland wants to follow suit. We shall see in due course.
I'm actually starting to wonder if there are some EU & Westminster officials masquerading on this thread. There's so much 'factual insider' knowledgeable comments being made I'm intrigued. Either that or wishful thinking
I would imagine the MEP meant exactly what he said.0 -

It seems odd to state this comment in response to Tromking who replied to Shakes wasn't directed at her or indeed all pro Indy posters on here. Yep, definitely shows your true colours.0 -

Any regular reader of this thread will already be well aware of what YOUR true colours are.
Especially now, since you cannot deny the comments I posted earlier; equally odd how you accept such similar iScotland sentiments regarding Brexit etc.
Or is it that yourself and Indy supporters are allowed your thoughts but those in favour of Brexit are not?
Since in your link, I very clearly state "my original thought".0 -
I wonder if referendum fatigue might play a factor.
I can imagine many a voter fed up with referendums and the potential change.0 -
