See I reckon he was standing up for the people of Scotland, this Brexit is a total disaster, here we are over 2 months later and all we are getting is brexit means Brexit, we can't even get an understanding of what May thinks Brexit means ... but we do know it means Brexit ...
what is truely outrageous is that Nicola has repeated refused to tell the people of scotland whether they will be part of the UK or independent in two years time
why is she keeping the people of scotland in the dark
it is making her look a complete fool
although her concern about brexit seems to show she firmly believes that scotland will still be part of the UK in 2019 : perhaps she is a realist0 -

OK, lets say that May told you, only you, what they've got planned (if they even know yet).
What would you do with that information?
If you worked for the EU, what would you do with that information?
There is a good reason not to divulge our side of the process.0 -
Really? But today she said:
"Let me be crystal clear about this, and it is a point I have made directly to the UK Government, the Scottish Government will not be window dressing in a talking shop to allow the UK Government to simply tick a box. "We expect to have, along with the other devolved nations, a role in decision-making, we expect our engagement to be meaningful."
Now, if Scotland is to hold a referendum and leave the UK, why should the rest of the UK take any notice of Scotland's wishes when in a couple of years you'll be off.
Window dressing isn't what any of the Scottish parties want to be regarding early EU/Brexit talks, well, apart from maybe the Tories. This isn't about Westminster or the rest of the UK, it's about keeping Holyrood happy.
7/9/16Scottish Labour leader Kezia Dugdale wrote to the first minister Nicola Sturgeon to stress that: “Scottish Labour is an autonomous party. We have repeatedly supported your efforts to meet with governments around the world to not only seek to find a way to retain our EU membership, but also to make clear that Scotland remains open for business.”
Of course, if all of this fails...It all seems so stupid it makes me want to give up.
But why should I give up, when it all seems so stupid ?0 -
Personally I would take treat pride in informing the public what they are getting, we're gonna get shafted either way... Australia has said it will deal with the EU before it deals with the UK, I don't think they will be alone either
So might as well tell the people and let them get used to the idea0 -

Have you ever been on holiday where you barter for the price of goods?
If you have, did you go in with the highest amount you would be prepared to pay first?
I've bartered. You don't go in with your highest price first. It's really really really simple common sense.
So whilst you might take great pride in doing so, you'd be shafting the people you're paid and elected to represent.
Bad PM elantan, bad MP elantan! Naughty!0 -

Another tweet from the guy whose tweet she read out aimed at Jeremy Corbyn.

As for 'tenuous link' if Jeremy Corbyn had did something like this during PMQ's, the thread about him here would have blown itself up with self-righteous indignation... not to mention it would've been headline news tomorrow with acres of column inches dedicated to 'why Corbyn hates the Poles'.
You know it too really. We all do.
I don't really care what political commentators say. I guess these people are there for those who don't watch it themselves.
I couldn't care less where the tweet came from, it was the substance of the tweet which May was using to attack Corbyn, because he's ruining Labour. Which is a travesty for the UK's political system, I will say Angus Robertson has more credit with me than Jeremy Corbyn. But on this occasion May certainly didn't get shamed.
What Angus did was like asking a loaded question.
i.e.
"It's been proven that good and righteous Scottish nationalists such as you like banana splits, do you like banana splits?"
May either didn't have a plan, or she did have a plan and couldn't share it, so either way he was setting her up to fail. But her retort regarding the importance of the UK to Scotland versus that of the EU certainly put him in his place if you're aware of the situation, which I'm certain you are.0
