    When Nicola reads the letter

Sorry to interrupt the party, but wasn't this...erm....expected?
And I doubt Nicola would be smashing up her wee living room on the day Johnson provided another massive boost to the indyref2 cause. :)
Don't blame me, I voted Remain.

    Hardly.
She’ll be relieved secretly that her economically illiterate case for independence will not be tested anytime soon. It won’t obviously stop her playing the grievance card just to placate her ‘independence at any cost’ voter base, but her only hope is that Brexit is a complete disaster for Scotland. Which it won’t be of course.

  • Can Scotland afford Nicola Sturgeon?

She is very outspoken against Donald Trump to the level of outright hostility.

The result a 25% import duty on Malt Whisky which may be raised and extended to all Scotch Whisky. The US a £1bn market for Scotch Whisky and Nicola's hostility os putting those exports and jobs in jeopardy.

    Nice work Nicola!

Yes. It's part of the process to boost independence support. Pretty obvious to all I'd have thought. No one actually thought Boris would say yes lol.
It all seems so stupid it makes me want to give up.
But why should I give up, when it all seems so stupid ?

He could have played a blinder by allowing it with some odd terms and putting the SNP on the back foot.

Trump isn't popular here; protests have disrupted all of his visits since he became POTUS.
I'm glad we have a leader who's prepared to stand up to him unlike Johnson. In the EU we'll be even better placed to resist.

Even then, he's only got 4 years left as POTUS so hopefully whoever's replaced him is more rational. Plus the US is still buying scotch they are just paying a bit more for it.

So I'm happy to be a bit worse off to hostile to people like Trump.

Can Scotland afford to remain in the union?
