Maybe Sturgeon should work on getting a referendum for the English to vote on whether they want Scotland in the UK, she might be unpleasantly surprised that she and her country are not the catch they might think they are.

I'd be all for that. I actually think that politically, England and Scotland are very different and it's in your interests to get rid of us as much as it is in ours.

Throw in the 'fact' that we cost more than we put in and it's a no brainer to get rid of us, surely?

The locomotive of Indy is gathering momentum. The wheels are whizzing and the steam holes are steaming! Johnson and his Tories are stuffing coal down the chimney making the juggernaut faster and faster. It will be free!

Where do you get that idea from ? The only source of that is the indy machine itself. Polls suggest support for indy is no different to what it was at the time of the first attempt. Unionists are very much in the closet because of the fear of being shouted down by the very vocal minority, it is just not worth the aggro. Come the secret ballot the truth will out.

There are a lot of English who would now agree with you, I am not one of them by the way. I always suspect people who want to put up walls have issues in their own lives, Brexit was a good example

Brexit is all about putting up walls, scottish independence is all about self determinism. It should result in less walls for Scotland then Brexit Britain.

Considering 60% of scottish trade is with the rest of UK that's a pretty big wall as soon as Scotland gets independence.

Then of course you have to actually get accepted to join the EU so there's another 18% wall.

Then, the need to arrange trade deals with everyone else (22%) and how everyone keeps saying how difficult it is to get trade deals.....

So, 100% walls needing to be broken down after independence day.............

Try telling the EU that, or those remainers who have been saying the exact opposite for over 3 years in Brexit debate.

*Paying huge sums for so-called "free trade" as per Norway is NOT "free trade".
