    Panelbase might say that.
It doesn't necessarily equate to people wanting independence though.

WhatScotlandThinks suggests the opposite with 47% saying no to independence vs 45% for.

I saw an earlier post saying BritainElects agreed, putting no at 51.3%.

I have an idea- why not have a referendum and find out the actual numbers ?
    baldly going on...

Excluding the don't knows it's 49/51. The average of the last 3 polls to ask the question is 50/50. Tight. And my point is that with the SNP on around 40% of the vote ( for this GE ) , equating SNP votes vs Unionist party votes in order to 'prove' Scots voters don't want independence is false.

Anyway baldelectrian is right. We should just have a vote then we'd all know. :)
It all seems so stupid it makes me want to give up.
But why should I give up, when it all seems so stupid ?

Exactly, if it's a resounding no it'll shut the nationalists up again until the next time Westminster makes a country-destroying change.

    Unbelievable!

Leader of the SNP on national tv says that WM being not very nice to Scotland is "material change" :rotfl:

Car crash TV at it's wonderful best!

Cue further grudge/unfairness complaints, but as will be proved in subsequent nights AN will be just as "robust" with the other party leaders.

Roll on Jo Swinson and Boris then lol. Nicola did well to get half a word in occasionally. Andrew Neil is far too fond of his own voice when it comes to his interviews. Boris's one should be a complete hoot but sadly none of them will make any difference.

Don't you remember that you did?
Just like with Brexit, infantile foot-stamping and denial from those unwilling to accept the result without significant support doesn't mean that just because you didn't like the result you can have another go.
That's why both major parties tell you "no".

Personally being English I couldn't give two hoots whether Scotland becomes independent or not so long as Scots themselves make that choice.
So far all I see (borne out by she stats) is a bunch of whingers trying it on when the majority of Scots don't want independence

If people vote for it. Sure they can.

No longer major parties in Scotland I'm afraid. That's why there's a problem.

Scots themselves will make that choice in a referendum. You shouldn't have an issue with that given what you're saying above.

The SNP cannot claim to represent the majority (yet).

50/50 re independence. 40% re the SNP as a political party. One doesn't equal the other anymore.
