  • Watched the debate last night (the one which the PM felt it not necessary to attend) and thought it was good

Are the polls tightening- are we in for another hung parliament?

Absolutely pathetic from nationwide broadcasters that NS and the Welsh Nationalist leader even appear on these "debates"; peddling the "Scotland's voice must be heard" line with no challenge at all from the fawning media.

These "debates" are for leaders of National parties.

It's a lose/lose election for independence; Tory majority and 2nd referendum refused, hung parliament with Labour as biggest party,
Corbyn simply bides his time knowing that as the anti english/Tory/WM brigade are soothed support for independence will fall off a cliff!

    Happy days :)

Could be more of an upset than that. The more the polls narrow the more the Tory press panics and the more ludicrous it's anti Labour propaganda becomes.

Just spent some time in Jo Swinson's constituency. It's a former labour holdout that now swings between the SNP and LibDems.

Wonder how confident she feels about keeping it?

Well the SNP musn't have had much hope at first since they put up a young unknown against her rather than the previous SNP MP John Nicholson. However.. I don't know how true this rumour is, but there's definitely parts of it ring very true.
I hear Jo Swinson is considering resigning BEFORE THE ELECTION after what senior Lib Dem sources are saying has been ‘a worse campaign than Theresa May’s in 2017’ One senior source said: ‘with this government and opposition we should be getting over a hundred seats’

She’s also apparently worried about keeping her own seat under assault from a tactical voting alliance with local Labour activists actually joining forces with the SNP candidate in what is a Lib Dem/SNP marginal. The source added: ‘Jo keeps seeing polling that shows she’s .losing by 3-6% and it’s taking her mind off the national campaign. The feedback from her debate performances has been disastrous.’ Some are speculating that Ed Davey and Chuka Umunna are jockeying for an ‘interim leader’ role to take the party through the election

Chuka has of course denied he's seeking to replace her, but hasn't exactly been very positive about how the campaign's been going.
Says ‘the campaign has been disappointing but it’s too late to do anything about it now’
Will certainly be a seat to watch.
It all seems so stupid it makes me want to give up.
But why should I give up, when it all seems so stupid ?

Labour's polling is acclerating upwards very quickly the last week or so. We can only hope it'll be enough to turf Johnson out. I guess if the Lib Dems are out the game remainers really only have one choice to make in each constituency.

No need for propaganda when Jeremy Corbyn is quite capable speaking for himself.

It's just a shame so many articles in the press are inaccurate then, isn't it?
It's quite amusing to see how desperate the Tories are becoming, though it's quite tragic to think that it's working.
