    Get on with what?

It's a minority of malcontents agitating for something they know they can't get and deep down don't really want anyway, (they know an independent Scotland wouldn't last the weekend).

No one here is suggesting your status as a UK citizen is put at risk, so with respect, can you not encourage others to "get on" with putting mine at risk? Cheers :)

I understand perfectly your frustration, but despite the lunacy of the plan, the Scottish electorate seem to keep voting for these people.

So I would like them to get on with indyref2 and you can all then decide amongst yourselves what you want to be.

Your fellow (majority according to you) Scots need to realise that protest votes against Westminster parties is just leading to years of endless SNP rhetoric that simply (on purpose) antagonises many people south of the border. The general feeling down here regarding Scottish independence creeps more towards ‘not bothered’ as each day goes by. Especially when the benefits (I.e cash) appear to be flowing in one direction.

The Scottish electorate don't keep voting for them though!

What you need to realise, with respect, is the numbers.....turnouts (other than the 2014 Referendum with an emphatic rejection of independence), are low. So with NO voters split between the 3 main parties, this allows the SNP to form administrations with the support of a fraction of the electorate.

No one is posting "protest votes" anymore, quite the opposite. NO voters are finally realising the benefits of voting strategically, hence the SNP dropping from 50+ seats to 30+ seats at the last GE.
Hopefully this will continue at the next Scottish Elections and we can have a administration that concentrates on running Scotland properly.

The fact that you want us to "get on with indyref2" is irrelevant; millions of us up here want no such thing. I offer no threat to your status as a UK citizen, why are you promoting a course of action that threatens mine?

I get the fact that people in rUK are antagonised by SNP rhetoric; does it help to know that most Scottish people respect and appreciate the union and are also fed up of the manufactured grudge?

I'm happy with my lot and so are most of my countrymen; if listening to the likes of Ian Blackford irritates you, stop doing it :)

The arrogance of the nationalist as he puffs his chest and blusters, and believes that he speaks for all people of his ilk.

    Ugh.

    Pot-kettle?
The current Conservative Westminster governement run the UK with a lower % vote share across the UK (and also in England and Wales) than the SNP obtained in Scotland

SNP dropping from 50+ seats to 30+ seats at the last GE.

So the SNP dropped from over 50% of the Scottish seats to over 50% of the Scottish seats- had the Conservatives obtained the same pro rata across the UK the would have a thumping majority rather than rely on the DUP

The fact is that the SNP do better than all the other parties as a % of seats and votes you are happy for Westminster to dictate to Scotland and ignore any Scottish input
    baldly going on...

Ian Blackford is the most odious MP in Westminster. His campaign of abuse against an ill Charles Kennedy was shameful.

People who don’t vote don’t count i’m afraid. Quoting low turnout is a red herring.

People use the same reasoning with regards to leave voters not being an actual majority of the whole of the UK. Doesn’t wash I’m afraid.

Personally I would be delighted to see a Scottish govt that is not single issue, is run properly, appreciates that the deal Scotland gets is actually pretty good and engages with Westminster, but it’s not really my business tbh. Let’s hope you are correct.

I’m asking for Scotland to come up with a resolution to this issue, one way or another.

My own view is that yes, most Scottish people do respect and appreciate the union. Also that most of the rUK respects and appreciates Scottish membership. However, the level of claptrap spouted by SNP apparatchiks is beyond tedious now and the only people that can fix that are Scottish voters. I wish you all good luck in achieving that.

Oooh nicely done SNP. No two child limit.
The SNP Scottish Government has today announced it will use new social security powers to introduce a brand new benefit to tackle child poverty

The Scottish Child Payment will be introduced by 2022 for all eligible families with children under 16. The Payment will begin for children under six by early 2021, with the payment set at £10 per week.
This new benefit will provide support for families on low incomes, reduce child poverty and mitigate some of the damaging impact of UK Government austerity and welfare cuts.

And absolutely brilliantly done by Jeremy Hunt. *
Jeremy Hunt pulls Foreign Office support for Nicola Sturgeon

Jeremy Hunt has been accused of trying to boost his Conservative leadership campaign by withdrawing Foreign Office (FCO) support for Nicola Sturgeon’s overseas visits.

Hunt and Johnson, gifts that keep on giving. :T:rotfl: *cue more champagne corks being popped at SNP HQ*
It all seems so stupid it makes me want to give up.
But why should I give up, when it all seems so stupid ?

Well, sturgeon does have a lot of money to throw around, kindly handed to her by the UK whilst keeping the rUK on their uppers.

Can’t she just Skype and help save the planet instead?

I guess the answer from SNP central is no, only other people have to do that.
