Equally I'm sure people all over realise the SNP is not responsible for this newspapers content!

Honestly, I don't know why I keep reading this thread. Some people are utterly, utterly deluded such is their hatred.

The SNP set the tone of the debate.

It's OK; I understand democracy. Hence my post.;)

What part of the majority of the people of the United Kingdom voted to leave the EU do you have a problem with?

Most Scots including myself voted to remain a part of the UK.

Ergo : We as voters of the United Kingdom voted to leave the EU.

Democracy in action, any other stance is quite ridiculous.

Do you think the UK should be a a place where the biggest country's decisions should outvote the smaller countries?

In the UN, should everywhere have a population-based vote, and let China and India decide everything?

maybe the voting system should be to treat all people as equals and have one person one vote, irrespective of their race, nationality, religion, ethnic background and sexual orientation?
and maybe distribute taxpayers money on a equitable basis too?

Yes, it is called one person one vote. Comparing the EU to the UN is hardly comparing like with like, the UK being one sovereign nation.
5m Scots do not get a veto over 60m in the rest of the UK.
The SNP obviously have an issue with the fact that the UK is a single sovereign nation. They will need to persuade Scotland that independence is a good idea. Unless that happens Scotland needs to accept it is part of the UK.

I saw the way they refused to applaud Cameron. Even Labour, in particular Dennis Skinner did. You can disagree with people and still respect the effort they put in. They are a vile bunch.

I thought it was so brilliant of them not to clap ... a slow hand clap would've been my next preference ... but not clapping at all was deffinately my favourite choice ... And Angus Robertson asking those questions as well

It made me like the SNP ... for a wee bit ... no doubt they will do something to put me off them again ... but that was brilliant.. if only the other side had the courage and strength to be as strong ... ah well I spose we can't all be strong and brave

so, no respect for a genuine difference of opinion or for any democratic mandate
just the usual hatred for anyone that disagrees with the SNP : makes you proud.

If there is an insistance on splitting everything up by country within the UK then yes. It's proportional, the same goes on in the European Parliament.

Do you think the UK should be a place where 5 million people have more of a say in their shared parliament than 55 million people per person?

    Oh wait... it is

Currently England has 1 MP to every 103,189 people.

Scotland has 1 MP to every 84,745 people.

Whichever way you spin the relationship, you're better off than others in the Union, you are the most favoured nation, and you still all have tantrums about independence.

Hope the bit I've put in bold is directed at the poster and not at Scot's in general.

I'll say it again once more, and will keep saying it; Sturgeon and the SNP do not speak for me nor people who voted NO in our referendum.

Sturgeon's repeated assertation that she acts and speaks in the interest of Scots disgust me.

We are not a nation of whingers with a chip on our shoulders as SNP politicians project us as.

We're happy with our lot in the UK thank you very much! :)

I can't quite agree with you there Clapton old chap. There are many people, organisations etc that I wouldn't personally applaud; it doesn't mean I have "hatred" for them.

Would you applaud any leader or organisation irrespective of your agreement with them, their policies or activities? Corbyn? Putin? Kim Jong-un? How about Len McCluskey? Adam Walker? (Current Chairman of the BNP - I had to look it up, honest :D !)

Applause on demand is for dictatorships, not democracies :) .
