Is this this how low the SNP has reduced we as a Scottish Nation are now perceived.

    Quite nauseating.

Please, please don`t judge all of us Scots in the same way as nationalist lowlifes.

I actually feel quite sad and ashamed of their behaviour.

I saw the way they refused to applaud Cameron. Even Labour, in particular Dennis Skinner did. You can disagree with people and still respect the effort they put in. They are a vile bunch.

    Get over your triumphalism.
Just in case you have difficulty in understanding democracy.

We are part of the United Kingdom and as such the democratic rationale is that the Tory party DO have a mandate in Scotland.
It`s not that hard to understand if you try thinking about it.

Asked about the possibility of a second referendum on Scottish independence, Mrs May said: "As far as I'm concerned, the Scottish people had their vote - they voted in 2014 - and a very clear message came through. Both the United Kingdom and the Scottish governments said they would abide by that"

    http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-scotland-scotland-politics-36800536

    The End.

That made my day- the fact that she didn't refuse to rule one out.

All she had to say was that she would not allow one, yet people seem to think that's what May said.

Sometimes it is good to listen to what is NOT said as well as what was said.

Remember Ruthie didn't refuse to rule one out- she said she didn't want one and would vote against one if the Scottish Parliament passed a bill on one; but she specifically said she would accept the will of the parliament

Remember there is a pro-indy majority in the Scottish Parliament - the SNP and the Greens have more than 50% of the seats
    baldly going on...

May's statement couldn't be more clear. The SNP wanted a referendum, they had one, lost and said themselves that was that for a generation. If the SNP call a new referendum it won't be legitimate and will have to be funded by the SNP.

We've had a Scottish referendum, general election and an EU referendum in the space of less than 2 years. Democracy's great and everything but I'm hoping we pull our necks in for a while.

It'd be nice to just put it all to bed now, perhaps talk about how Scotland and England can work together for a better future outside the EU.

They had the vote in 2014 and as May said the result was clear, both governments agreed to abide by it. Trying to engineer another via the EU referendum when there was foreknowledge of it is a hail mary.

The EU have come out and said that Scotland cannot remain a member of the EU whilst it is part of the UK since it is the UK that is a member. Vague hopes of a 'reverse Greenland' will not materialise, in order for that to happen the UK would need to remain a member of the EU but England and Wales would need to be outside the EU. Since it's the UK that is the member and it's the UK that is leaving the EU it's a non-starter. The only way to secure EU membership for Scotland is independence, and as has just been reported that's been ruled out.

Then there's the Spanish question if by some way you managed to hold an indy ref and become independent, would you even be allowed in the EU since accession isn't a majority vote and just one member can veto Scottish membership, which Spain has said they would veto.

I'm sure that people all over realise that it is a behaviour typical of the SNP and not Scotland.

Equally I'm sure people all over realise the SNP is not responsible for this newspapers content!

Honestly, I don't know why I keep reading this thread. Some people are utterly, utterly deluded such is their hatred.
