Seems to me that politics in this old UK of ours is getting weirder by the day.

I'm sure that the Reds will make an appearance in due course.

This is a problem - You have a referendum and a large proportion of the electorate will not get what they campaigned for.

The Leave side won, but they did not understand the implications in leaving the EU. I am sure that there are people that voted leave that regret it but to a lot of people they are angry and want to leave at whatever cost!

It was the same in 2014 - people voted for Independence without a thought about what that would mean. We were told that oil would be over $100 a barrel - what would have happened to Scotland when the price crashed?

We were told that the Scottish Government had legal advice that said that we would have automatic membership to the European Union. How would people feel when they found that this was not true.

We need to get away from these referendums and work on what we have!

Some people might wonder if Scotland and the wider UK now share the common negative experience of having both made regrettable calls in recent referenda, and many might also be wondering how much the shared mainstream media deserve to be under the microscope.

If people vote in refernda purely on what they readin mainstream media - more fool them.

in 2014 I read as much as I could from various sources. I still do- here is a lot out there and it is good to have an open mind as well as a huge pinch of salt.

Nope. Collective sigh of relief from those of us living north of the border including many who were persuaded to vote YES on fanciful economic arguments. (By persons who are now largely discredited)

Just because people do one thing to cause less agreeable living standards, (Brexit), that is no excuse or reason to exacerbate those forthcoming difficulties by doing a second even more reckless thing such as seeking Scottish Independence.

The reality is that the present mess is providing a very strong deterrent and warning against pursuing a further referendum on the matter; as those of us who actually live in Scotland understand.
