You haven't seen the latest panelbase poll then have you. You lot are going backwards.

Also a Tory win in the latest council by election in Dumfries & Galloway.

If you can't gain an advantage now with all the current turbulence you never will.

The last panelbase poll was pretty good as far as I saw ?

Should Scotland be an independent country?
    Yes 47% (+2)
    No 53% (-2)

Do you believe Scottish independence or a no deal Brexit would be better for Scotland?
    Scottish independence: 59%
    No deal Brexit: 41%

Do you believe Scottish independence or remaining in the UK but outside the EU under a negotiated Brexit deal would be better for Scotland?

    Scottish independence: 53%
Remaining in the UK but outside the EU under a negotiated Brexit deal: 47%
Hardly going backwards. Nicholas Soames has just caused a huge row by telling Ian Blackford in the HOC's to 'Go back to the Isle of Skye'.

SNP are being pretty straight up with thier future intentions today thats for sure.

Scotland will not go down with the Brexit Ship. It can use its right of self determination as a lifeboat to escape this catastrophe.
    Not long now...
It all seems so stupid it makes me want to give up.
But why should I give up, when it all seems so stupid ?
  • Not long now...

    You are doomed.

Together with @vincecable @LSRPlaid and @CarolineLucas I have put down a motion of no confidence in the UK Government. I am demanding that the Govt give time for this debate. This shambolic Govt must be held to account and we must advance a peoples vote. https://edm.parliament.uk/early-day-motion/52422/no-confidence-in-her-majestys-government

Oops now they have just secured Theresa May for the duration of the Brexit debacle.

Keep up. This is nothing to do with Teresa. It's all the other parties exposing Labour and forcing them into making a position clear.

Labour keep saying they want a General Election so won't support a People's vote while there is the possibility of a GE. This either exposes Labour as just running the clock down like the Tories are ( if they don't support this motion )...or, if as likely the Tories win a No confidence vote. Forces Labour to come out in favour, or not, of a People's vote.

This is ALL about Labour and what they do next.

Perhaps not but it does highlight what a bunch of amateurs the Nats are.

Hardly really matters since everyone is ignoring them anyway, looks like it was all just a dream in Ian Blackford's imagination.
  • Amazing thanks for this healthy talk it really helps all of us.

Ignoring them is kind of the problem as far as many Scots are concerned. Thats's why many of us want out of it. And the VoNC wasn't just the Nats.

The media are closing ranks round the Tories and Labour. Normal politics is over for a while and Scotland will be voting soon. SNP MP's by the ( co ordinated ) sounds of it, are all getting ready to leave Westminster to it.

Our London MPs are a tough team. You get to hear only half of what we put up with every day. In 2007 @theSNP promoted our 1st 100 days as the 1st @ScotGov in 300 yrs. It’s Time to be thinking of our last 100 days in this arrogant, discredited & disrespectful Union #escapecommittee

PeteWishart They are now seriously planning for a ‘no deal’. They have taken the country to the abyss and are now prepared to throw it over. Scotland, we need to get out.
    HannahB4LiviMP
More utterly outrageous behaviour. This is what we have to put up with week in week out. Time we were out of there.

Doesn't sound like the SNP are planning on hanging around much longer does it ?

Same old, same old; the call to arms for another doomed Indi vote is how it sounds to me.

Fortunately for Scotland the SNP are an ever shrinking minority that DOES NOT represent the country, all they managed to do was scrape just over a third of the vote at the last General election (983,000 votes (inc Greens) and 1,660,000 for the Unionist parties).

The people of Scotland have had enough of the constant whingeing and moaning.

If this was really the case why not support a new indy vote?

It would put it to bed for a while if it was a NO again

You have to bear in mind the Westminster democracy:

New EU vote- thought by many at WM as a good idea

New Scottish indy vote- bad idea, yet no unionist who supports a new EU vote can give a valid reason why there should be a EU vote and not another indy vote

    Kez Dugdale reasoning here
    baldly going on...
