You hope, reality on the ground is very different. We have passed peak nationalism and there are a lot of very disgruntled voters out their who ar not happy with Nicola's grievance style of politics.

There will be no Indi 2 vote and if they are daft enough to try then the result in favour will be markedly less.
There will be though. It'll cost the SNP their core vote if they don't. Nicola's got nothing to lose by calling one.. even if she loses any vote ( which we can debate all day long about ).. it means Scotland will have given a definitive answer to the Brexited UK v's Independent Scotland question.

The question needs to be asked. So it will be sometime likely very soon. You can tell by the way the National is starting to frame things and push the narrative on...

It all seems so stupid it makes me want to give up.
But why should I give up, when it all seems so stupid ?

The National is extremely wee. It's circulation now numbers less than 10,000 readers, and that's somewhat generously including online readers. Which includes Somerset based former Amiga Power staff journalists spamming the URL from their basement flat.

Whatever it's readership online or in print doesn't matter. It's the only pro-indy media outlet the SNP/Yes movement has. As such you can see exactly what the Scottish public are being softened up about and to expect.

Those massive colourful front pages are for people walking past or browsing the newspaper racks in Tesco and other public places. Aaaand at the moment, the National is softening people up for some kind of vote not too far in the future.*

*Unless we remain in the EU which is looking like a possibility now.

A national newspaper with the circulation of a parish magazine isn't going to have much softening power.

been awfy exciting today, those pesky Scottish MSP's being a thorn in big T May side, then losing the vote to kick the contempt charge into the long grass ... Then Government ministers being found in contempt for the first time ever in UK parliament history

    Happy days
