Alex has resigned I see ... wonder how this will develop
Had to be done. Nicola and every other SNP MP/MSP would never have gotten peace. Every interview, every article, every appearance they made on tv, newspapers etc.. Salmond would be the first question up. You could see it at the cabinet meeting in Arran the other day. It was the first thing in the first question at the end q+a's. Same with Scottish Labour, Tories etc.

This way they can't keep on about kicking him out of the party. A media frenzy right enough as it was always going to be. It'll all come out in the wash though.
It all seems so stupid it makes me want to give up.
But why should I give up, when it all seems so stupid ?

Leastways, that's what I think, and so does Frank Field.

Without commenting on the merits (or otherwise) of Corbyn, in reality Frank Field was about to get deselected over voting with Brextremists like Boris and Reese Mogg to prop up May's government and jumped before he was pushed.

There is an attempt to deselect him. It would be presumptuous to assume it will succeed. Not that I think that Field cares that much. He has always been a man of principle.

And Corbyn is a racist and anti-semite. No one should vote Labour. Not even proud Scots.

It does however speak of Salmonds ego that he couldn’t just ‘quietly’ fight his case through the courts using his not inconsiderable alleged personal wealth but instead has sought make it a test of his popularity within the nationalist community by group funding his defence. The alleged victims will no doubt be feeling that it’s not just Salmond they’re up against and that is shameful.

    Raises the stakes somewhat.

Considering the Nats have been known to turn nasty when they identify an enemy I hope it doesn't put the plaintiffs off from seeking the justice they deserve.

Nothing to do with Salmond not being quiet. Someone leaked the entire 'confidential' case to the Daily Record. We all got to know what the allegations are apparently before Salmond did ( which is why he was going for the Judical Review in the first place - he says he had no idea what he was accused of ).

Once the 'alleged' story came to light, it was obvious the media and the other parties were going to try and use it in order to take Nicola Sturgeon down with him. Baying for suspensions and for Salmond to be kicked out. Salmond simply took himself out of the picture.. and at the same time stopped any dodgy suggestions as to where the money was coming from for the Judical Review ( there was bound to be another media witch hunt about that as well ). He's no longer SNP, we all know exactly where he got the money for the Review, plus he's raised an extra 40 grand for charity. The Scottish media are left with nothing else other than asking about the validity of crowdfunding.

For now though, Salmond is presumed innocent and there are no proven 'victims' in 2013 until he is found guilty. He's not even been charged as yet. It's where that leak came from within the civil service that's the current problem. This case was supposed to be confidential for ALL involved.

Nicola so far, hasn't put a foot wrong.

Isn’t it true that alleged serial wife swappers and possible leaders of a sinister underground political sex cult, the Krankies, have been bankrolling Salmond, Sturgeon and the SNP movement since its inception?

I bet this is just the tip of a seedy, sticky, nationalist iceberg.

    Fandabidozy this is not.

    Fandabidozy?

Oh, I see; it means fantastic. Not a word I've come across before.

Your suggestion that the Krankies are at the centre of some political sex cult seems a little far fetched. But then again, this thread is chock full of far fetched suggestions. And at least yours is vaguely believable. :)
