Does it matter? The fact is, was far short of 100,000 that's being promoted on the fake news media channels. Feeding the populace propaganda isn't healthy.

ofcourse it matters... if it didnt you wouldnt have said it, unless your suggesting you talk rubbish?

I dont know how many were there I wasnt anywhere near Edinburgh and I certainly told some people that were saying 193,000 to not be so stupid ... but from the videos I have seen there were certainly more than 20,000

Quite the opposite in my experience; Scots are looking at the uncertainty around Brexit, imagine this multiplied tenfold for an Independence scenario and quite sensibly thinking "no way".

Driving off the Brexit cliff is probably survivable for the UK in the long term, driving off the much larger Independence cliff would be economic death of Scotland.

Be nice if the 44%, (now probably 35%) had the insight, gumption and gratitude to thank the rest of us for keeping us all well away from that cliff in 2014! :)

This sums it up really. As much as Scots may be rightly angered by Brexit, independence isn't a way out.

What we really need is to split the UK into leave and remain states! The geography is pretty challenging though...

Plenty of room in Scotland for people to move to. Hadrians Wall can then be reinstated creating the hard border that the EU will demand.

    Not that wee ?
Survation 24 hours ago The polling conducted October 3rd-5th featured Scottish Independence questions for "tomorrow" "after Brexit" and "after a no-deal Brexit" and found the following:

The tactic of keeping quiet while the Tories and Labour fight like cats in a sack over Brexit seems to be working nicely. Keeps Brexit front and center. Because as soon as Nicola Sturgeon names a date and vote method ( ref/election etc ) the full weight of the media and establishment will turn turrets and will come down very hard on her, the SNP and the wider indy movement. Brexit consequences airily dismissed as a side issue. We are all too well aware of this.

The fact this chap above thinks that Scottish Independence is quite wee now simply proves that this tactic has worked beautifully over the last year or so. The more Scots are exposed to Tory Brexit's and Corbyn's dithering, the more there are wondering if independence might not be such a bad idea after all. Theresa 'hotstepper' May isn't doing the Union any favours.

The SNP/Sturgeon's stance on Brexit/indy/indy votes is the same as it ever was. If Scotland is taken out of the single market/customs union.. Scotland votes ( at a time Sturgeon sees as optimal for a Yes win ).
Mike Russell: If there is no offer of a Single Market and Customs Union outcome, either for the UK as a whole or for Scotland as a differentiated part of these islands, then there is no meaningful option being offered at all, and no option that can or will have SNP support.

It all seems so stupid it makes me want to give up.
But why should I give up, when it all seems so stupid ?
  • Equally fascinating !
Faisal Islamextraordinary @CCC_Research polling findings about the tradeoffs from Leave voters, and Tory voters in particular in tolerating Scottish independence...
