According to the Scotsman, which I presume knows about Scotsmans, support for independence is bumping along at a mealy mouthed 32%.

And that's with years of Tory misery and Brexit under the belt. And we're all tightening our belts.
Really this is the thinnest of thin gruel for an indy supporter to smack their lips upon. This is the skinny Christmas turkey that is all gristle and the haggis that the mice have got at.
Thirty two.

According to the Scotsman..
Independence support is just about static. But that's what campaigns are for aren't they ? And there's no offical indy campaign running currently. That march though, the fright was palpable in the Scottish media the next day and on Scottish Sunday Politics shows. It all seems so stupid it makes me want to give up.
But why should I give up, when it all seems so stupid ?0 -
Sweet Cheeks?
Good grief madam. I do not come here to be insulted. If this is the manner in which the Scots converse maybe it is better if you do have your independence.0 -

Nicola Sturgeon announced at the SNP conference that "fracking is now banned in Scotland". Weren't you there? Weren't you listening?
As before, you respond with reams of blather and a pretty picture, whilst ignoring the real point and hoping that nobody notices. It's almost as hilarious as the Scottish government's admission that ministerial statements are sometimes nothing more than PR gloss.0 -

It's a report on a survey by pollsters Survation. That's the source. And since Survation were the only polling company that got the result of the 2017 GE more or less right, they are probably a lot more reliable than someone who sinks to the level of a condescending insult such as 'sweetcheeks'
Edit: Survation were also the "most accurate polling company in the Scottish Independence Referendum".

You got off lightly.
Three blokes from Edinburgh "hurled foul-mouthed taunts" at England rugby union coach Eddie Jones.

The Scotsman is a dying print and online newspaper which is getting so desperate that anything concerning independence polls has to be spun and twisted out of all recognition. Sad !
I'll accept both your gracious apologies for getting the 32% thing so wrong. One wouldn't want to be lulling people into a false sense of security with nonsense polling figures. Not, when as you say and point out... Survation has been so accurate. It all seems so stupid it makes me want to give up.

Dying print and online news source attempts to secure future by ignoring the fact that the majority of its potential readership want independence?
What a scoop!0 -

So now you are saying that a Survation poll is a reliable source.
Make up your mind.:)0 -
Shakey is gamely flying the flag for Indy, but I think Scots voting against it in the "once in a lifetime referendum", followed by them voting in a dozen Tory MPs at the last general election was the final two dozen nails in that coffin.0
