  • I thought Mrs May wasn't going to have talks with Nicola Sturgeon.

Another u turn and a slap in the face for David Mundell.
If you believe that report, do you believe this one too?
May: Scots will be 'fully engaged' in Brexit talks

  • What anyone believes is irrelevant to the point - anything that May says has to be taken with a very large pinch of salt.
Yet that "pinch of salt" apparently does not apply to not having talks with Sturgeon.

Proud Scots will bide their time and strike when the iron is hot. They will grasp the nettle of independence. They care nothing for the stinging pain, and the early privations this will bring. They laugh at empty bellies and c(0)ck a snook at penury because there is no price to high and no suffering too onerous to fly the saltire.

This is one party where every Scotsman will fight to reach the bar first, to empty his pockets and buy a round for his fellow countrymen. And another, and another still. For indeed, Independence is the greatest statement of, "all the drinks are on me," that had been seen in proud Scotland's history.

I guess it won't be lost on most reasonable Scots, the difference between how one European nation deals with its citizens when they wish to test via the ballot box the desire for independence and another such European country.

Do you need to be an SNP member/supporter to get a job/position in Scotland now?

That is how it is beginning to look there have been a flurry of polls over the last few days to get Neil Oliver sacked from his new position as President of the National Trust for Scotland.

Since when was the NT for Scotland a political position? That appears to be what the nats want to make it.

The SNP DO NOT speak for the majority of Scotland the SNP are not Scotland and they should care to remember that. Scotland is not 1930s Germany.

Neil Oliver ... ahhhh ... I'm sure the National Trust for Scotland will regret that decision, I've cancelled my membership and I am sure I am not the only one

He has every right to say what he wants via freedom of speech, and I have every right to decide what I support and don't support via my money ...

Good for you, I've just joined.

But you have just conceded me the point, that you guys are making it political.

The National trust made it political when they employed him,

however, how I choose to spend my hard earned money is my decision to make or are you suggesting that it isn't ?

I'm glad you've joined as they will need all the money they can get ... I hope other British Nationalists join as well

Can't cancel my NT membership, as I don't have one, but won't be watching reruns of 'Coast' anymore.
Don't blame me, I voted Remain.

Ah right just as I said he isn't a nat ergo it is a political decision. Just perhaps the NT decided he was the best man for the job?
