I found the link via my husbands Facebook page ... I didn't even know Brave was still experiencing trolling, I knew she had it in the past, before I even read the blog post I texted Brave to see how she was, then read it and discovered she is now in ICU, say what you want string but Brave never ever deserved to be trolled to the extent she decided death was a preferred option
But by all means if it makes you feel better twist it whatever way you see fit0 -

By then the shambles that is Brexit will be there for all to see and there will be a demand for a second indyref.
Another several years of Westminster failure is just what's needed to make people see the need for a new indyref.-
Where is the Westminster subsidy money to Scotland going to supplied from? I think you'll find us canny Scots know on what side our bread is buttered and it'll be a second NO.
I fully expect the SNP and their acolytes to ignore a indyref2 NO vote and promise it's a once in a year vote.0 -

Some Scots are canny enough to realise the figures seem unreal.

I also saw a bit on businessforscotland site stating much the same
BFS said that since the crash in oil prices in 2015 when the price of a barrel more than halved, Norway has made nearly £29.33bn in oil and gas revenues, while the UK lost almost £0.228bn
So to sum up-
Under Westminster control oil revenues allocated to Scotland £-0.228bn
Under Norwegian control (they extract LESS oil at the same price) + £29.33bn
Just don't mention the Whisky-
Ireland (with almost 40 times LESS whiskey) gets €1.5bn in revenue but Scotland with 40 times more Whisky sales makes only £5 bn
Me thinks the subsidy go the other way- why are the tories fighting to keep Scotland (are they known for their charitable status?)baldly going on...0 -

Feel free to show us all your workings Tricky. Or else stop insulting other forum posters you disagree with.
There's a definite mood out there now about GERS and other accounting figures allocated ( or not ) to Scotland. Something along the lines of 'well there are slightly better figs for Scotland as a region than most other UK regions.... but nowhere enough accuracy or quality of data to apply them to a country'. About sums it up.
Their release this year barely made a ripple in among the abject boredom with them. No one believes them anymore unless they follow Hague's blog. He's not qualified as an economist though, and his articles should be taken with the same distain as Wings or BoS are if that's a route you want to go down again. It all seems so stupid it makes me want to give up.
But why should I give up, when it all seems so stupid ?0 -
"It's almost as if the vitriol against the scottish parliament that spews from 85% of the newspapers isn't actually representative of how the public feel. Go figure...?"A poll on the eve of the 20th anniversary of the Scottish devolution referendum has revealed a majority of Scots believe the Scottish Parliament has improved the health service and education. It all seems so stupid it makes me want to give up.
But why should I give up, when it all seems so stupid ?0 -
As would be expected, putting a bit of a spin on the results of the survey.
Education - 35 % improved, 33% no change, 32% worse - yet another SNP outstanding victory :rotfl:
The rest of it does not make pretty reading for the SNP / Indy supporters.0 -

I have in the past, if sufficient time has passed that you guys think you can re-introduce the lies without being brought up on them then you'd be wrong.0 -

The Scotsman ? Spinning for the SNP ? You're having a laugh. The poll makes for reading which is just fine. It's not like Davidson, the Scottish Tories, Scottish Labour or Lib Dems are suddenly going to come up with any policies, let alone anything on health and education any time soon is it ? The SNP are quite, quite safe there.
Twenty years eh. Look how far things have come in that time. I doubt the Scottish devolved parliament will last another twenty. We all get bogged down in the day to day stuff but in truth when compared to 1997 things have, and are, only moving in one inevitable direction. The Scottish public now view the Scottish parliament, rather than Westminster, as the most important political institution. Irrespective of formal independence, Scotland already has an informal independence of the mind in how it talks, thinks and acts.It all seems so stupid it makes me want to give up.
But why should I give up, when it all seems so stupid ?0
