Alex Salmond signals indyref2 could be after 2021 Scottish election
He's a born optimist isn't he.
Or is he just trying to keep the faithful onside?0 -
The legislative programme included measures aimed at boosting Scotland's environmental credentials, with Ms Sturgeon announcing she wants new petrol and diesel cars to be phased out in Scotland from 2032 - eight years sooner than the 2040 target that has been set by the UK Government.
Lets' have a look at that.
A Nissan Leaf takes 4 hours to charge on a 7kW home charging point.
A Nissan Leaf can travel 125 miles on a single charge in optimum conditions or 20% less in the winter ie 99 miles.
So to travel from the 360 miles from Stranraer to Thurso which currently takes about seven and a half hours would take 18-20 hours.
To make matters worse the SNP have told us for a long time that Scotland's prosperity lay with our wealth of natural resources namely our oil.
This just doesn't stack up and is ill thought out virtue signalling by the Nats. The Empress' new clothes are as transparent as the majority of her previous policies.
Nonsense!0 -

That "keeping the faithful onside" might prove even more difficult when so many are hit in their pockets.MORE than two million Scots are facing an income tax rise next year, after Nicola Sturgeon said she was willing to dump an SNP manifesto pledge to freeze the basic rate.
Or even when what happens with allocated funds comes under scrutiny; here for example Brian Wilson asks what is happening with the SNP's policies and funds:in a press release dated 8 September… 2016.On that day, Sturgeon announced a “£500 million growth scheme” for Scottish businesses. It was to run for three years and was essential to meet “an exceptional economic challenge” in the face of Brexit. According to Sturgeon, this “brand new fund” was “a half billion pound vote of confidence in Scottish business, Scottish workers and the Scottish economy”.
Well hallelujah. The only problem is that nothing has happened. The Fund does not exist. Not a penny has been paid out. If you follow the Scottish Government website link, it comes up as “The page you requested could not be found”. Yet if you look back, the coverage obtained at the time was the dream of every spin doctor. A triumph – then nothing.0 -

Alex giving a superb demonstration of can kicking, no doubt Nicola will do the same and realise the mistake after their Holyrood majority evaporates. It's over.0 -

I think 2020/2021 is an ideal time for the next (and final one- as there will be a YES vote)
By then the shambles that is Brexit will be there for all to see and there will be a demand for a second indyref.
Another several years of Westminster failure is just what's needed to make people see the need for a new indyref.-baldly going on...0 -

Just what point are you trying to make?
I do not see any need for this post on here. I wish the lady no harm but this is purely virtue signalling on your part Elantan and stooping fairly low.0 -
I think it shows the trolling is not just from the Yes side as has been suggested on here many times ... but here is an example of a yesser being trolled repetedly by the unionist trolls ...
I do like to point things like that out often ... I know there are often several people from the opposite side like to point out trolling from yessers. ..
But ultimately I spose I am saying trolling is wrong no matter what side your on0 -

Actually, I think another point has been made, unwittingly. The URL quoted

One just had to read through the posts there to glimpse a culture of hate. It is absolutely revolting. Anyone wondering what I mean I advise to read some of it.
They will find that the URL provides an insight into a cess pit of unreasoned hated, a bogie world full of wicked Westminster Wizards and imagined plots against the fair and the good. The sad thing is that it's inhabitants have probably no idea at all of the demeaning absurdity of the mindset which sustains them.
So that's the core support of Scottish Nationalism?Union, not Disunion
I have a Right Wing and a Left Wing.
It's the only way to fly straight.0
