I think Westminster is shorthand for English but I'm assured it isn't.

Maybe Scots aren’ t going to call Westminster “the parliament” when that's ambiguous when they've got one closer. They're not going to call it London as they don't hate London or any other devolved entities (I hope).

Recent posters (see below) claimed it's the government for the four home countries, so, why do you identify Westminster with the English? Do you identify the EU or NATO with Belgians or the UN with Americans?

For some strange reason SNPers always refer to the UK government as 'Westminster'. I'd guess that it's because they like to try and forget that it's as much their government as any other part of the UK....

Trouble is that Westminster is actually truly going to have to take powers back from the devolved governments. How a weakened May govt does that is so far uncertain, as well as the political fallout of any attempts to do so.

Not as well as this is...

Lightbulb moments starting to hit rural Tory Scotland. Was always going to happen.

Here's a factual link relating to actual farmland prices rather than someone's opinion as to what might possibly happen.

Prices have increased by 149% over the last ten years so a relatively modest fallback would hardly be a disaster if it happened.

As for subsidies. How they work is that the UK sends money to the EU and the EU sends some of it back. Better to cut out the middle man. It's acknowledged nearly everywhere that the CAP is a disaster and requires reform. Blair was promised that when he gave up our rebate but in true EU fashion, the main beneficiaries (France, who else?) saw to it that it didn't happen.

    What a strange remark.

The word English does not appear in my post that you quoted.

Sorry for any misunderstanding, it was addressed at the first poster I quoted.

Where are the lots of yes groups mobilising? Link us all here to the evidence? Why do you feel the need to share that you got a distinctiom? You are coming across as quite inadequate...and for good reason.

I've noticed you disappearing and going off on 'one' and then returning like some sort of self appointed Messiah. As a matter of interest what are you on?
