Just a person looking at the current UK government falling down regarding EU even Carney is warning about the troubles ahead , Queens speeches, DUP coalitions and multiple U turns on policies.... Whilst Treeza with her Strong and Stable .. Strong and Stable keeps ringing in plenty of ears
And finding it hilarious

Haven't read it all .
Don't think I believe it ... but it's interesting to know there are still people thinking about indy ref ... know how it's meant to be dead now that the SNP " lost" the election0 -
Tory voters should thank the SNP for helping them win two elections. First in 2015 when they ensured that voting for Labour would mean that the SNP were the tail wagging the dog. Second in 2017 when they hacked off enough Scots to help the Tories win 13 seats. Round of applause for Nicola.
We don't have Tory voters in Scotland anymore. We have Unionist voters. Take away an indy ref and Davidson has nothing which is why the SNP should keep quiet for now and let Davidson and her MP's start defending their own Tory policies for once. And I wouldn't write off Corbyn in No 10 with SNP support just yet.
Round of applause for May calling an election in the first place. It all seems so stupid it makes me want to give up.
But why should I give up, when it all seems so stupid ?0 -

Yes, and in 2014, they voted to remain part of the UK by a substantial margin. Do you honestly believe that all those who voted for the SNP in 2015 actually wanted independence? The latest election results prove that they don't. Either that or they think that the SNP are spectacularly useless at delivering services to their electorate.0 -
Still more SNP than all the rest combined ...0

That'll be the Ulster Style binary politics that I suggested would happen in Scotland and you pooh-poohed a year or so back?
The Tories are too toxic in Scotland you said!
Unfortunately for you, Sturgeon`s and the SNP's obsession with indyref will keep that topic live, Davidson will have to do nothing.
On the things that matter to Scots, thanks to Barnett Scotland is protected from the worst excesses of Tory austerity and if the stories coming out of Westminster are true then expect a slight loosening of the purse strings.
On top of that Davidson seems to be not backforward in coming forward in speaking up for Scotland to her Westminster colleagues.
You seem to be stuck in a pre-2015 time-warp.Scotland has changed.“Britain- A friend to all, beholden to none”. 🇬🇧0 -

And if its not good for the UK then it's very likely there will be a Scottish vote to leave the UK if there's no Single Market deal done. We'll have to see what happens in the next few weeks and months. Davis hasn't started too well, and May hasn't even formed a working Govt yet.
Happy to debate with you meantime though. If the thread doesn't get pulled like the Brexit one. What happened there ?
The original thread is still there.
But no-one now posts on it.
What happened?
IMHO readers saw that while you may indeed lead a horse to water there is little you can do if that horse persists in not drinking.
While we may not agree on much I for one welcome your return and hope that - politics aside - all is well with you.0 -

A certain subversive poster and his sockie accounts flooded the thread in an attempt to drown out any reasonable debate.
So it got closed.Don't blame me, I voted Remain.0 -

Wrong yet again - it is still there.
People may read and judge for themselves.0
