It's now down to what sort of deal the EU will offer. There is always a price beyond which the government will refuse to pay. For this reason, the exit without agreement option will remain until the whole thing completes.
The EU is very good at the can-kicking "extend and pretend" type of negotiations, as in the Greek debt discussions.
Unfortunately, if they try this in the Brexit talks, we are out after 2 years regardless, unless everyone is prepared to agree to an extension.

Labour and Tory both campaigned on a policy of implementing Brexit.

    Both increased their vote share.

SNP; LibDem; Greens ... they all wanted some form of secondary vote/reassessment of Brexit.

Look at what happened to them.

The problem for Labour now is that a lot of people didn't realise that voting for Corbyn was for a hard Brexit and are just waking up. It'll be an interesting show.. but one for the SNP to sit out for the time being.

The Holyrood/Scottish Parliament vote for a second ref is already in the bag. And Davidson and Mundell are already making total fools of themselves over this DUP deal with Mundell saying one thing yesterday.. then Davidson pooh poohing what he said today.
It all seems so stupid it makes me want to give up.
But why should I give up, when it all seems so stupid ?

    Ooops... pass the popcorn.. :D
Scottish Secretary David Mundell said he was "not going to agree to anything that could be construed as back-door funding to Northern Ireland". Mr Mundell told BBC Scotland: "There are rules. The Barnett Formula is to Scotland's advantage. I'm not going to do anything to prejudice it.
"Any funding that goes to Northern Ireland, then Barnett rules will ensure the appropriate funding comes to Scotland."

If only Nicola hadn't ruled out ever doing a deal to prop up the tories eh. Then she could have got her hands on some cash.

Still, the chosen path never was to do right by Scotland was it, just to stick to the snp agenda.

And now the DUP, alongside your personal favourite person Ruth, have got more influence over UK policy than the moaning and divisive SNP could ever wish for.

    Gamble failed I'm afraid.

David Davis has confirmed in parliament this evening that the UK government WILL seek the consent of Holyrood for the Great Repeal Bill.

The Prime Minister said there was a "possibility" that the Great Repeal Bill, overturning the 1972 Act which took Britain into the European Economic Community, would require a legislative consent motion in Holyrood. Speaking in the Commons Queen's Speech debate, she said the issue was currently being considered by the UK and Scottish governments.
