    Democracy does matter, of course.
The insinuation was that the 13 Scottish Conservatives MP's would be able to do more than the 56 SNP MP's previously and I've interested to know what and how this will be achieved.

It all remains to be seen, but its entirely possible that the 13 SCMP's are just nodding dogs and the 10 DUP MP's will be able to achieve far more for their region outwith the government than the 13 SCMP's will do for their consituencies

My point is that the phrase ""dancing to the tune of Westminster" is just a bit of propagandising. Parliament is sovereign.

I believe each MP is elected to represent their constituency and you can often see this as MP's stand up and push on issues for their constituents.

Even Ruth has cited they will deliver for Scotland

Ruth Davidson insists Scottish Tory MPs will deliver for Scotland

Theres nothing in the article specifying what they will deliver for Scotland, so it remains interesting to see what they do deliver for Scotland, else will Theresa May demand that they follow her line as she desperately needs full agreement within the Conservative party to push through her mandate.

And there are 650 constituencies, each of which contributes to the tune that Westminster plays, and thus all should dance to that tune.

That's how democracy works in the UK.

That's fine, lets see what the 13 achieve in government and for Scotland

Ah, you mean a bit like the early years of the SNP and nazism and stored weapons caches?

    Interesting little quote
“The art of leadership... consists in consolidating the attention of the people against a single adversary and taking care that nothing will split up that attention.” Strong and stable leadership sometimes leads to horrible outcomes.

Is that for Theersa May or Ruth Davidson?

In bold is the whole point I was making.

If TM wants Ruth's endorsement, Ruth has the power to ask for things in return. That is sway over government, something the SNP has and never will have.

Hence it being utterly pointless to vote for the SNP in opposition to the Conservatives, it appears Ruth will actually champion Scottish causes at Westminster and be heard, instead of bellyaching in PMQ's and grandstanding that achieves the sum total of nothing.

    Lets see shall we?

Ruth Davidson offered nothing in this election other than stopping IndyRef2.

It was a hugely successful protest vote, supported with tactical voting by the other unionists parties.

The SNP received a very strong message and a lot will depend on what it takes from that and how sustainable the message is.

The next election will be much tougher as they will have to stand on their beliefs and what they have delivered.

We await to see what RD and the SCMP's deliver.
