It's kind of ironic that despite Sturgeon claiming that Scotland should be at the heart of Europe, it is really NI which now can grab that claim.

The fact they share a land border with an EU country means they will command a fair amount of attention in the Brexit talks anyway. Now the DUP will feel buoyant about having more of a say.

    It's just a shame they don't have oil ;)

I agree it is hilarious ... especially when you take into account the better together mantra ... lead the country dint leave the country and the whole GE of 2015 with the pictures of Alex stealing money from pockets and sitting in Ed''s pocket campaign that the Tories executed and the people down south lapped up ... followed by the whole anti Scottish Rhetoric ... and the whole if you let SNP win they will be the tail wagging the British dog

Now we have Flatearther terrorists that want to take the UK back to 1690 wagging the dog

As I say never in my dreams would this have been the outcome

Ad that's before we get to the mess of the UK government basically going against the good Friday agreement ... as if Ireland doesn't have enough to deal with since it dissolved ... ohhhh months ago

Bet the SNP don't seem so scary now eh

And the latest leaking through ... the DUP want Nigel to have a pivotal role in Brexit .. ye just cannae make it up

Naturally I should have quoted the bit that I thought was important, namely
“I was tortured in the runup to the election. I’m unhappy about Tory plans to cut the disability benefits and I’m thinking who will look after my mother – but in the end it was a tactical vote and I’m delighted to see the back of Salmond.”

I should have added a disclaimer or two but to be honest I was too lazy.

Her fears on the NHS are unfounded of course.

Corbyn is preparing his speech as he reckons he is gonna be PM

    Interesting times

The guy lost the election. Sounds like Sturgeon MK2. Stuck in a groove playing the same old record.

There is not going to be a coalition with the DUP. As for going against the Good Friday Agreement, you will have to explain why that is in detail which will be difficult for you because you don't know what the arrangement will be excepting that it will not be a coalition.

If you are referring to the UK neutrality being comprised in the Good Friday Agreement in some way, then similar arguments could be raised by those of bad will with respect to the tolerance of the Irish Government to SF involvement in Irish Politics. (Not that I am accusing the Irish Government of this but pointing out that it is pure nastiness to suggest the same of the UK Government).

2 different people, the one I quoted was a pro indy SNP supporter who also said
I’m totally shocked at the results and I think many people have misunderstood what this general election is about,
whilst obviously not having a clue what it was about either. ;)

Some colours have come out in the wash due to the GE2017 it would seem.

It's my view that this is the beginning of the end for the SNP as a force in Scottish politics as the SNP is right now. This is because the new Conservative government now counts on Ruth and her MP's in order to pass legislation, perhaps not all of the time but certainly when the rest of the house opposes the legislation. This means Scottish representatives hold real true power and sway over the direction of government whereas previously the SNP had none. Despite lying to the electorate continually that they were the only opposition who could stop what they called a hard Tory Brexit. Obviously Nicola will be found to be lying about this too, and once Ruth can effect real change without being a public nuisance to boot Nicola and the SNP as we currently know it at least will only last so long.

In order for this to be true, you believe the 13 Scottish Conservatives can direct the government more for Scotland.
This remains to be seen else they just are the puppets dancing to the tune of Westminster.

For a long time, the Scottish Conservatives have blocked the SNP at every opportunity, now they will be accountable.

Scots Tories will be almost wiped out in next GE.
The tactical voting which got some of them elected wi the help of labour voters was not observed by the Tories in labour/SNP marginals.
Yes voters not aligned to the SNP will lend their support to
Labour to kick the Tory/dup government out.
I have a deep burning indifference
