Not if one group has moved on and the other has become worse.
That's like saying the African American community have a point when they say they're oppressed in the present because their ancestors were slaves... err no, not at all.0 -

The England/Scotland match.
The Scots booed over the English National Anthem.
The English however were respectful for the Scottish one.
To boo over a national anthem is totally and utterly disrespectful, it says a lot about the attitude of Scots that they will do that.
For clarity, I would never boo over an opponents national anthem, but for debate purposes, it seems England do not have a national anthem and use the anthem of the United Kingdom.:wall:

Dortmund March 2017. Look, there was no excuse for what happened yesterday but as the the man said "let them without sin cast the first stone"....The highest form of ignorance is when you reject something you don't know anything about.

I think that the 13 Scottish tory MPs will have more influence than the 56 SNP ones did on Westminster. The highest form of ignorance is when you reject something you don't know anything about.

I get your point but even more of a reason not to boo as we are part of the UK. It is yet another debating point if 'Flower of Scotland' should be our anthem. A great folk tune but a dirge as an anthem. What other anthem mentions another country in their anthem? Ok, apologies - off topic. The highest form of ignorance is when you reject something you don't know anything about.

Yes, not a good idea to go into the anthems.
If you are debating the Flower of Scotland, then you should equally debate God Save The Queen with its Marshal Wade verse about crushing rebellious Scots:wall:

No, no, not the 4th verse debate! A major can of worms!
I preferred 'Scotland the Brave', a much more jaunty tune. The highest form of ignorance is when you reject something you don't know anything about.

Indeed, you questioned with anthem referred to another country and both anthems last night have that in their verses.
I think moreover the booing could be attributed to it being a UK anthem and not an English one.
I don't know though:wall:
