And then the UK may well have another Scottish PM....
I sincerely hope not.
RD benefited by having only one focus, stop IndyRef2, after she had previously said she would not oppose it.
I think it might be interesting going forward to see what she brings to the table.:wall:
What we've got here is....... failure to communicate.

When she can't even speak against the rape clause I don't hold out much hope for her bringing anything decent to the table.0 -
Some more delicious irony ( oh I am having fun today ... ) 13 tory Mp''s that can't vote on EVEL ... so their votes can't be counted on by May to force stuff through ( in the case of EVEL stuff obvs)0

Like with most of the posts you've made post-GE, sod all to do with indy
The other posts which are related to indy appear to be fantasies of the misguided. Indy support leaked to the Conservatives, Labour and Lib Dem's did it? 16%+ swings of it, even though they know those parties don't want another independence referendum?
Pull the other one.0 -
It is Long since I have attempted rational discussion with the SNP Nutjobs on this forum.
It quickly became obvious that any attempt of reasonable interchange was futile.
Now even after the vast majority of Scottish voters have turned their face away from independence certain posters still live in denial.
I want the best for of all the people of Scotland, both now and in the future..
History has proven that the Union with England has been of incredible benefit to us as a Scottish Nation.Long may it remainNationalism is an infantile disease. It is the measles of mankind. - Albert Einstein.

Yes I agree - I'd just add that we all benefit.
On the matter (rumour/possibility?) of Scottish Conservatives changing their relationship with the Conservative Party, I think it could have some advantages from the unionist viewpoint and could increase the SC vote share in both GEs and SEs . We will see.
The advantage to Scotland of having Tory MPs is already becoming evident. We have already seen a much easier communication with Westminster and I would expect the Scottish Conservatives to have more influence in Westminster on Scotland's behalf than the spiteful and divisive rantings of the SNP. The same will be true of Labour and Lib Dem Scottish MPs.
Davidson's move to emphasise the Single Market is rather astute I think. It is the intention of both Conservatives and Labour Parties to " maximise" access to the SM. What "maximise" will actually mean remains to be seen, but now the SNP will be unable to claim that it is solely their presence and pressure in Westminster that gained such access should "maximise" turns out to be a good trade result.Union, not Disunion

Thanks to everyone in this thread who supported the union and saw through the propaganda and hate filled spite from the SNP. Everyone has played their part in not letting SNP nonsense fill peoples heads and for that I am most grateful, as everyone who loves Scotland and the UK should be.
Perhaps now we can start to heal the divisive wounds the SNP have inflicted on us all and work together making Scotland and the whole of the UK a better, fairer and more prosperous place to live.0 -

That is the nicest post on this thread for a long time. :T
If I could thank you more than once I would do. :T0 -
Well done that lady.
Single handedly she prevented the SNP from gaining too much power in the UK Parliament.
Single handedly she prevented the SNP from having too much of a stranglehold over Scottish councils.
Single handedly she has killed off any prospect of Scotland becoming independent in the foreseeable future .
Congratulations Nicola Sturgeon.0
