Care to name an EU Government which carries an over whelming mandate from the people. Much of the Western world faces exactly the same challenges.0 -

Dugdale got it with both barrels and quite right too. Her 'that woman' comment was distasteful and as far as her flip flopping on independence was concerned, it was all over the media anyway last year till someone higher up told her to zip it. She'll be gone soon anyway. Labour were quick enough to jump on ( faked ) private memo's as gospel truth two years ago, a taste of their own medicine was well overdue. And let's face it from her initial reaction and lack of denial it was clear that Dugdale probably did say that on the phone. Politics is a brutal old game, there are no prizes for being nice all the time.It all seems so stupid it makes me want to give up.
But why should I give up, when it all seems so stupid ?0 -
Interesting poll in the Scotsman tonight - if Tories win tomorrow it flips indy support to a slight majority....“The great enemy of the truth is very often not the lie – deliberate, contrived, and dishonest – but the myth, persistent, persuasive, and unrealistic.
Belief in myths allows the comfort of opinion without the discomfort of thought.”

There was a poll some time ago that showed a preference for Independence in Europe over remain in the UK with a Tory government.
Poll shows most Scots would prefer independence in Europe rather than face Tory rule in UK after Brexit:wall:
What we've got here is....... failure to communicate.

Well you won't have too long to wait now ISTL still argues that this is not a binary question but most of us know it is.
