Those parties are well known for their stance on independence.
You just wont accept that the electorate are voting on more than just one binary notion this GE.
Your assuming the electorate are stupid as the Conservatives have tried.
At least they are recognising the issue and u-turning on the policy matters which they cannot hide behind the independence smoke and mirror screen:wall:
What we've got here is....... failure to communicate.

It's just one of those things I'm afraid.
The independence question has badgered the population of Scotland for a long time, it's burned into the public psyche. The vote will split along those lines and the vote share can and will be used as a sophisticated poll on the topic.0 -

I agree it can and will be used, but will be argued against.
The mandate is there.
The democratic vote by the electorate making SNP the majority party is there.
The democratice vote held in Holyrood is there.
Section 30 has been voted for and issued to Westminster.
You can't run away from or hide from those facts.
Westminster clearly are running scared and do not have the belief they would win IndyRef2:wall:

Probably don't really need one it will be lite version of Labour's manifesto with a Scottish twist.
With plenty of freebies thrown in, to bribe the electorate, with little to no thought going to how it will be funded because the fall back in explaining any shortfall will be evil Tory cuts.0 -

We have been through this time and time again in this thread.
NO there is NOT a mandate.
It has been explained why.
Often.
And by many.
Now can we stop going round and round in circles please?
The only ones running away & hiding from facts are the SNP & supporters.
You disagree?
Meh.
So wait until the result of the GE, which as said before will show the level of support the SNP has.
Can you not wait a little over two weeks for definitive statistics of SNP support?0 -

Of course I can wait.
Were accepting that IndyRef2 should align once the details of Brexit are known.
That's not likely until at least spring 2019.
The GE results will not make a difference to the mandate we do have (been over numerous times and I'll keep repeating as long as you dismiss. Your disrespecting the Scottish Parliament and democracy with your views)
On June the 09th, regardless of the GE results (I'm confident there will still be a majority SNP party in Scotland), Holyrood will still have the MSP's in place who were elected and voted for section 30.
The PM needs to either deny or agree to the section 30 request, she cannot procrastinate forever:wall:

The SNP/Scottish Parliament already have a mandate on a second indy ref. This GE will be about a mandate on excercising it. The below was expected to be in the SNP manifesto today.“This election won't decide whether or not Scotland will become independent - but a vote for the SNP will reinforce the right of the Scottish Parliament to decide when the nation should be given a choice on its future, and will make sure that Scotland's future is always in Scotland's hands."
So yes we can stop arguing round in circles. The SNP getting most seats/vote won't be taken as a mandate on independence.. it will be taken as a mandate to fully endorse the Scottish Parliaments current position and wishes. If folks don't like it they can vote for another party as they wish.It all seems so stupid it makes me want to give up.
But why should I give up, when it all seems so stupid ?0
