Indeed, there are many parties now coming to the policies that the SNP have long put in place.
Such as Free Prescriptions (Scottish Conservatives)
Such as Free Tuition (Labour)
Its taking their time, but they'll get there :T:wall:
What we've got here is....... failure to communicate.

the post I responded to had nothing on topic.

Reading the post I saw a question mark - it was IMHO a question.
There is no need for your poor attitude.
What nastiness have I portrayed?Yah_Boo_Sux wrote: »Did you not bother reading my post? The LibDem comments?
That was a different post.
I'm very happy to discuss and debate topical matters, but please do try to keep it contained to topical discussion.
The thread (and forum) will be better for it.:wall:

You think I am digging a hole.............
I should resist responding to posts with no topical discussion
I clearly didn't expect you to respond to my query on the subject matter we were initially discussingIveSeenTheLight wrote: »Where have I agreed with the "trashing of a member of the public"?
I've just read your signature and found it quite an interesting insight.
Can we move on now?
How about discussing the margin (erosion) the Conservatives appear to have over Labour?
Its possible this GE will not be the landslide TM is hoping for.:wall:

You'd have been here, along with all the current media types getting all pious over 'smearing a nurse'..renting garments, clutching pearls and having hysterics over fake news and SNP plants in the audience. And don't think we don't know it either.
Poor deflection. What I'm talking about is something that actually happened rather than something that didn't.
It's abundantly clear from your posts that however appallingly members of your party behave, you will always defend them. Shame on you again.0 -

You should but you won't. You never do.
Let's see? It would be most unusual for you to simply move on. Will you make this an exception?
Ah, you mean like:
From the election thread?
See, there is a thread for that.
You know.
You used it.0 -

You might call it a poor deflection. I prefer to call it as it is from experience on forums like these and with posters such as yourself. I didn't watch all of the debate last night as I said ( switched off when it started into devolved areas that don't matter for this election ) and we're re-watching Breaking Bad. I certainly didn't get involved with any of the hysterics over it either. That being said, it's my own opinion that this lady's story doesn't seem quite right, and there's something very wrong somewhere with it.
Other than that I have no further interest other than hoping the next debate will be much better chaired than Sarah Smith managed last night, and the issues discussed will be relevant to 8th of June 2017 rather than May 2021.It all seems so stupid it makes me want to give up.
But why should I give up, when it all seems so stupid ?0 -

I always do (try to keep on topic), as I always answer questions directly, unlike others who cast aspertions and then ignore.
Anyway, on topic.
Its interesting that Scottish Nurses are paid more than English Nurses
https://www.rcn.org.uk/employment-and-pay/nhs-pay-scales-2016-17
So it appears that Scotland maintained the 1% public salary cap imposed by Westminster, but is already paying more than the rUK counter parts:wall:

The funniest bit is it's not intentional!
So, nurses.
Yet again ISTL is behind the times.
Ten years behind the times, or thereabouts because this is from 2007:Nurses in Scotland are to be paid more than those in England and Wales, it emerged yesterday. In an unprecedented development, Scottish ministers in the devolved assembly agreed to pay nurses an extra 2.5 per cent from next month. Nurses south of the border will have to wait until November for their full pay rise.
Read it ISTL.
It goes on to say:The more generous Scottish pay deal may also lead to pressure for a review of the so-called Barnett formula, which critics claim gives Scotland an "unfairly" large share of public spending at the expense of English taxpayers.
That was ten years ago.
You didn't know?
Just where have you been exactly?0 -

Still squirming and deflecting. How can it be true if it didn't happen? If and when it does, you can call me out on it. But it's exactly what you do. That's beyond doubt.0
