    I've been Money Tipped!
Everything was good today until I realised a parcel I was waiting for has vanished after the courier stupidly had the idea to leave it outside my door,

I have junkies/dealers upstairs (or both, all I know is they jam open the back door, and the faces I see are well known junkies/alcoholics who are banned from many town centre shops and many off licenses and once saw a guy walk up with around £500 in cash and come back out 4 minutes later)

They were only ones in their flat when I came back with was only 90 minutes after the delivery, I heard them scream and argue in their flat when I went up and waited on purpose to see if it settled (in part as thought they wouldn't hear me knocking over their screams) when it calmed down I knocked door and it went silent apart from tiptoe sounds like someone walking to door, also they had sign on door saying "we are not in all day"

To be clever what I did was I know they jam open the back door all the time so I closed it, I mean if they truly were not in their flat then the back door wouldn't be disturbed.

Literally by the time I walked to my door I heard someone try and kick it in.

Waited 20 minutes and went out and noticed the door jammed open again, walked up and heard arguing at a muffled volume, then again silence when door was knocked.

Im waiting to hear back from Amazon about where exactly the driver left the parcel, also have to speak to one more neighbour who I know for a fact comes in from school at 3.20 (parcel delivery 3.30 on the dot) so they were in at that time

If Amazon just tells me the driver left it in my doorway it narrows it down as right now just have "front door" listed but I live in a block of flats, also next to a school and it was time schools get out! So if I know he left it on the outside it will change the potential thieves, as the junkies almost always use the back door, and it could of been kids passing.

I also have a verandah but no sign of it there.

The only thing im thinking is if I see those junkie neighbours and they moan at me closing the door I will say to them "well if you were out all day how do you know the door was locked/multiple times" but then they may scream that I am accusing them.

Amazon did refund me and told me if it turns up I can keep it for the hassle but still its a nightmare!

Just what I need on a night where I am having a sleep study and have to go to bed early!

Deka does the building not have signs up saying the door must be closed? If not I would get onto the management and tell them, if it does then quite frankly the junkies can stick it. And have they been reported? Who is it that they visit/know in the building? Has that person been reported too? And are they actually dealing drugs from the flat?

Amazon can leave parcels at drop off lockers in shops, that might be a better idea from now on!

I reported them to police months ago who told me they are well known to them(but they didn't know their current hangout)

My suspicions of them being dealers is I have often seen people go up with cash in their hand then come back down 2 minutes later, one time saw a guy so off his face (well known junkie and alcoholic!) he had at least £500 in his hand and went up, and came out 5 minutes later.

Its a council block, did tell them before and had inspectors out to check repairs in my flat who I mentioned it to at same time.

Its been broken/jammed since before I moved in, one time I closed it and heard kicking, came out and one of the panes of glass had been smashed in (below where the handle is)

Thats the other thing, someone locked it last night so I was woken 5am by someone for their flat buzzing everyone to get in.

Weekends of course are the worst for that.

couldn;t sleep last night cos im in constant worry about sodding universal credit. so i decidd to be proactive and wrote a letter to my local MP. dpubt anything will come of it but it helped to get it out my system. also used some techniques from the depression group. i talked myself through what i was thinking/feeling, why i felt like that, what i could do to change it etc (bascially a loose version of CBT), it helped, so much so i'll be asking my GP if he can put me forard for CBT sessions.

How much longer do you have to wait, MU?

CBT sounds like a very good idea. Fingers crossed.

    Afternoon my lovelies,

hugs, hand shakes and squishes all round. extra special ones for tea and waves and smiles.

Dekaspace you spend a lot of time at home alone don't you? When I lived in a flat and was home alone all day due to not working, I found every noise the person above me made was just plain annoying. All it was everyday normal day to day activities. I had no TV to mask any noises.

I found this again due to being home alone again during the day. And I now live in an end of terrace house. Since AM has moved in I have a TV with access to netflix, amazon prime and my fave youtube :rotfl:

So now any noise made by next door does not annoy me. As I can't hear it :rotfl:

AM has been away a lot the last few weeks. So been on my own a lot. Finding it a bit difficult.

Had my NHS health check. Nothing like stating the obvious that I am over weight. But my blood pressure and cholesterol are slightly elevated. And my Achilles tendon issue is hampering me getting any exercise. So that is getting me down. And not sure what to do. The gym really does not appeal to me.

Both me and AM need to get ourselves sorted out. Both are us are over weight. I am the biggest I have ever been and so ashamed. That I have let myself get so big.

I am not stupid. I know what is healthy. And I know it is calorie in v's calories out. I follow a couple of personal trainers on face book. And they talk a lot of sense. Not going to do anything stupid.

    Everyone take care

  • Hi Calley :hello: I had one of those health checks earlier this year (I was in for my shoulder and the doctor said "as we don't see you very often, I'd like you to make another appointment with the nurse to come in for a checkup") and got told my cholesterol was a bit high - she quoted a number at me as if I would know what "5.3" meant

The advice I was given basically amounted to stopping me cooking all the meals I regularly make by removing key ingredients, so that didn't happen. :rotfl: I know I need to do more exercise, but actually doing it is another matter :o

Mine was 5.6 or 5.9 so higher than yours. Was told to get the bencol copy drinks from aldi/lidl to help lower it. As well as changing my diet and exercise.

My extra ram from crucial came. And just fitted it to my laptop. Seems to be running a bit faster. Mind you how silly they put the 2gb ram in the lower space. So had to take both of them out to fit the bigger one in.

I can hear it above my tv, or computer, or over my friends voice when they arrive, and considering I used to have pictures and lightshades fall off the wall until I got better mounts it shows how noisy it is! If I am awake when kids wake the lightshade either rattles or full on wobbles about.

I used to get a bit annoyed at my last place but it was uncommon, at most it was like them putting on kids tv at 6am at a loud volume and the tv was attached high up the wall but it didn't stop me sleeping as much as wake me now and again and was silence after that, it was just the final tenant 2 months before I moved that was noisy, he was a ethnic, religious guy who held sermons in his flat and had as many as 50 people at one time at all hours a few days a week and they wore work boot sized things, even my other neighbours complained about him and he played the his own words "you are racist as you are only saying this because I am black" he even threatened his landlord, my landlords over tiny things, or the woman downstairs when she complained with beating her up and to watch her back, he never paid rent.

So I only really get agigated with noise when its extreme levels, at most everyday noise like people walking a lot is more a bit annoying such as roll eye type than anger inducing such as when I used to hear neighbours with kids and the kids would scream with excitement or being upset when entering or leaving the house then run up the stairs but then there would be silence, it was more I felt like the parents should control their kids as they knew they had neighbours sort of mild annoyance then stress inducing.

Luckily in past few days bar a bit last night its been mostly silence except first thing in morning and when kids come back from school or the hour before bed, I can hear stomping now but its more muffled.

Im just expecting when I do finally go up I will get excuses like its not as noisy as I claim, or how I make noise too (heard that in past even when I lived in a flat myself with laminate and went tip toeing about in socks and slippers and neighbour thumped on door daily accusing me of noise even when I was away for 2 weeks he claimed I was noisy every day for past 2 weeks and eventually assaulted me then claimed he was the innocent party when police came round. He was a coward who assaulted me, a autistic person who cannot fight back whilst I was on stairway with heavy bag on both arms and choked me.

Sorry people know what I am like for long stories but I was just getting the details out.

dekaspace, its fine, I just find that once some annoys everything annoys even the smallest sound.

its seems that you are very unlucky with your neighbours.

Report the noise to the council. And go from there. I know its sounds extreme but do you have any noise cancelling head phones. for watching tv/listening to the radio etc
