Nope. It's no use. I've hurt my back side doing the gardening. :o

I dropped a sock getting dressed and had to plan how to get to the floor to retrieve it. While I was down there, I crawled to my bag, got my phone and sent a text telling the department head saying I'd be in tomorrow. I had to use a handy wall to get myself back up again.

The pain is only slightly less than yesterday. I've taken painkillers and I'm back in bed. :(
 Don't know what I'm doing, but doing it anyway...
  • Oh no Gingernutty! Feel better soon!

I had a lovely weekend in (occasionally) sunny Blackpool at a cheerleading competition! Everyone worked their socks off to give great routines and we got great scores and a couple of trophies to boot :)

Am very sore and tired today though. :(

I just managed to get my dad's birthday present in the 50% off M and S sale, so that was unexpected but good.

    code, how are you?

calley, hope you are resting (!) and giving yourself time to absorb recent changes.

    GN, get well soon.

Gingernutty - poor you. Hope the back feels a bit better by now. There have been times when my back has gone that I've decided to just leave things I've dropped on the floor.

Well done on the bargain gift ww.

I've been better. High pain levels for a few days now, and because of the heavy painkillers, my digestive system is screwy. Mr CP is also ill and feeling low. I'm so stressy and not dealing well with all the instability that I've started biting my nails again and can't stop. Disordered eating/weight/body image penguin The stress has also triggered my disordered eating making things extra fun. I'm handling my negative feelings, and there are a lot of them, by eating everything in sight. Trying not to follow it to it's logical conclusion but I'm a couple of bad days away. Add to the fact that my oldest friend has lost a ton of weight, and is posting on fb about it and constantly going to the gym and although I'm happy for her, it's triggering the hell out of me. With that, the fact that no sooner do I lose a pound, than I gain 3, and the bloating and water retention from the aforementioned screwy digestive system, I'm at full on body hatred, convinced I'm a giant heifer and everyone is saying how massive and disgusting I am. Doesn't stop me binging though. end penguin

Just randomly wondering when I last had my picture taken. I think it was 2011. Anyone beat that?

(I mean recognisable, there have been just a couple in a large group where I was just a blur).

Hope you feel better soon GN. It's more household DIY that leaves me having to be careful how I bend.

I can't remember the last time I posed for a photo on my own as despite enjoying being behind the camera I tend to hide when one is pointed at me, though I'm in some group shots at birthday meals and the like.

Today was manic at work with never-ending emails to deal with, I arrived with planning to clear one pending problem I knew I had left over from Friday. I never even got to start looking at it.

The pain has reduced, but I still can't put my socks on without forethought.

I've sent another sick text. I've got heat pads, strong (over the counter) painkillers and anti-inflammatory gel (which I shouldn't really be using). I'm back to bed.

  • Code I'm feeling the same about myself at the moment. I hope your brain weasels leave you alone soon.

I managed to get a couple more of this year's presents in the various sales so I am pleased.

Saw ER yesterday. It was a bit surreal as she is seeing people in the corner of the room who aren't there so I kept having to offer them cups of tea. Is this a normal part of extreme old age for a proportion of the population? As far as I am aware she has never seen things before this calendar year? (Another reason anyway to be thankful for this thread as it is not alarming whatsoever, I just view as 'we're all different').

I am trying to work out how I can spend more time with littlewing. We did some handwriting practise over the weekend and she loved it.
I am trying to read more to her too. I'd love to read some books onto cd for her so she can play them to herself. I could do that while she is in bed. No use recording onto my phone or PC as she only uses either if we are there. Feels like a long time ago that I used a cd for anything. Our laptops don't even have dvd drives.
