Nah. I'll just very subtly mess with them until they're sorry they were born. That's my Kung fu and it is strong.

In other news, the GCSE Maths tutor considers me as one of her three advanced pupils and she'll be putting us in for the higher paper.

As I've paid over £800 for this blinking course, I should berluddy hope so....
 Don't know what I'm doing, but doing it anyway...

Oh good. They're complaining about me again. Not sure what the problem is since I'm actually doing work. Clearly not learned their lesson.

I wish Lambyr. I thought about adjusting the mouse sensitivity gradually and then suddenly reversing it, but computers are never left. unlocked here, :(

Wish HR from the other place would give me an answer.

  • All of our computers are unlocked all the time, or if they have passwords on the root / Administrator account (some versions of windows and SMB networking had problems with user accounts without passwords) they are a standard one that everyone in the office knows.

No-one would ever muck around with someone else's computer though . Because why? We don't have an IT department and are free to configure our computers however we want - we're all programmers, so it's hardly likely an IT person is going to know any better how we want them set up, or know better how to configure them. It also means that one of the very few things that would actually incite us to physical violence against another human being is being asked to work on a computer on which we don't have root priviliges. :rotfl:

Sorry for the nerdy rant :o

Eugh, another day of my life wasted in a pointless meeting with a pointless person*. Now for some reason I'm still working in the hope that if I get some emails replied to this evening I might actually get some sleep tonight.

I did at least manage to get across how very, very unsatisfactory one particular thing is right now. Which he agrees with, but then nothing ever changes. Now, in addition to the huge workload I had this morning, I have four more huge projects..... and by huge, I mean several months of work each..... all to be done within the next month of course.

*I'm sure he's not pointless as a person in general..... but as a manager.... oh my word it's not good.

    Good morning, all.
:heartsmil When you find people who not only tolerate your quirks but celebrate them with glad cries of "Me too!" be sure to cherish them. Because these weirdos are your true family.
  • Ono/Lambyr/Code - at my old workplace we were supposed to lock our PCs at all times (sensitive data) so if someone didn't, we either flipped their display or put a label covering the mouse sensor...

    EDIT - Good morning WW!
