    ((((( WaS ))))) I hope everything calms down soon.[/QUOTE]

Eating Penguin: I have recently lost just over a stone at Slimming World, but I am still overweight and still on occasions hide food so that my husband doesn't see it. I have done it today with a box of choc chip cookies. As I see it, I have three alternatives.

    1) Just eat one and throw the rest away (then he doesn't get to see the box).
    2) Eat the lot (ditto)
£. Eat one or two andf hide the rest and finish them gradually when he's not in.

    1. is almost impossible, 2, is my favourite option and 3 is the compromise and is what I've done
    .
    End eating penguin.

Well done on having that productive a day.

Have you spoken to your lodger about the debt collector? I know you've said in the past that he has issues with money but I would be seriously unimpressed with that and if it happened again would probably give him his marching orders.

I text him to say they had shoved envelope through the door. he asked me to open it and got on to the debt people straight away.

He told them he is lodger and not to come here as I am not happy with it.

They can't take anything as he owns his clothes, a phone and a couple of watches. everything else is mine.

  • Hi Calley, your lodger can put a stop to the doorstep visits with this template letter

More often than not, you can email this to the company concerned. So sit him down and ask him to complete it tonight!

He is already with someone for debt help. So it should never have happened in the first place. Also they added on another £200 for the visit  on to his debt.

Arrgh. I have 2 missed calls from a number I don't know. One when I was out walking and didn't hear it and the other when I was just going into the loo. They haven't left a message and now its bothering me.*

    * obviously not enough to actually call them back though.

Type it into google and it'll come up in the 'Who called me' website if it's one of those annoying PPI kind of calls. If it's a local number etc then phone it back....at least that's what I do as I'm always too curious/impatient to know who's called!

It's a mobile number so not getting anything back. I could call it but then I'd have to talk to someone wo probably just has a wrong number anyway.

I could text I guess, but that might seem a bit aggressive.

Could it be the job agency/place you went for an interview?

I usually just phone and say something like "I've two missed calls from you" or "you've just called me?"

But yeah, probably just a wrong number, and if it's important then they'll phone back. :)
