How would she react if you placed an order and got it delivered to them?
  • And on the subject of ageing parents, had an email from my mum this morning asking for investment advice (my brother was copied on it as well) and setting up joint accounts and investments with us, which I'm pretty sure was at least partially aimed at sheltering some of their money from the local authority if one of them has to go into residential care (which I believe is futile, the council will have it in the end no matter what they do). Don't know why mum's asking me for investment advice, I'm a computer nerd, not a financial adviser ...

They've been doing IHT planning as well as they live just outside London and property prices have gone bonkers in the 30 years since they bought the house. I keep telling them to spend it while they can still enjoy it!

I thought about that, but I have no idea what they need or want or their current and ever changing brand preferences. The only thing I could take a decent guess on would be biscuits :rotfl:

Oooh, I'd love someone to send me a biscuit delivery. That should be a thing!

Ono I have no idea about investments either. Any investment I make instantly becomes unprofitable as soon as I invest.

I've love to have a biscuit delivery company. I could probably manage gooseberry fool too but I dislike pannacotta to the point where I don't think I could even attempt to make it.

If anyone wants to invest in something which is very unlikely to make them any money they could give me the money to start a restaurant. The more I think about it the more I'd really love to be able to have a cafe/tea room kind of place.

That's my dream Iz.... well, technically the dream is a craft shop/workshop place with a beautiful tea room as part of it. We'd sell craft supplies, and also run various courses..... all with lovely cake on offer :D

Tea, if life was a chicklit when you found out about FOH, you'd have sold up, quit your job, moved to a small town become best friends with Iz who would also be living there for some reason and done exactly this. :rotfl:

Then of course, you'd meet the mysterious Aiden Turner lookalike and after a series of misunderstandings live happily ever after in his rambling country house.
