Ono, I found 2euros down the side of the sofa the other day (literally no idea where that came from). That any good for you? :rotfl:
I now have new carpetfurniture is arriving on Saturday so after 50 hours of swearing and putting flatpack together I will finally have my new bedroom. This may be the world's slowest redecoration of one room
.
Good luck melly xxx
WaS - your house sounds fascinating! Do you do weekend trips there, we could all visit??0 -

My bedroom took approximately 18 months from when I started dismantling the massive built in furniture covering the whole of one wall, that seemed to have been constructed to survive the apocalypse rather than to store clothes!

afternoon shipmates,
hugs, squishes and handshakes all around.
Well today sound like I smoke a 100 a day, as this cold is not shifting. Yesterday ached all over like coming down with flu. feel a bit ropey today.
Bought two dresses for the wedding next week. Not sure I really like either. But at £11 for both of them. I can always send them back if I don't wear them.
Nope I can beat you all. My little front bedroom was plastered about 3 years ago and still no closer to being painted LOL!!!

E is definitely my weak point too melly. If it's any consolation, I think that's true for most SHE people (and I work in an E company, and it's still our weakest!) Have everything crossed for you.
In other news... I have to get a train at 6am tomorrow! That is just wrong.0 -
Fingers crossed for you melly.
Hope you feel better soon Calley and Tea, hope you get overtime / time off in lieu for that! 6am is silly, are you going to Inverness or something? :eek:Proud member of the wokerati, though I don't eat tofu.Home is where my books are.Solar PV 5.2kWp system, SE facing, >1% shading, installed March 2019.Mortgage free July 20230 -
I went to Inverness on a bus once. Did a charity jailbreak thing years ago (get as far as you can with no money). We started in the west midlands and got a train down to London. Then a bus from London to Inverness :eek: Then another bus to Thurso and a ferry to Orkney. Then had to do the whole lot again to get home.
Never, ever again :rotfl:.0 -
Hi All,
Melly - sorry it's very belated but happy birthday for Monday and I hope you have good news from your interview soon.
Calley - 2 dresses for £11, that's a fantastic bargain!! I hope you're feeling better soon.
WaS - your house sounds amazing.
Ono - if I forget to say before you go, have a fantastic holiday.
MU - I know exactly what you mean. I often feel that, as someone in the obese BMI category, I'm letting the side down by thinking that big women wearing bikinis isn't always a good thing.
Tea - If it makes you feel better, my parents still haven't replastered the bottom of the living room walls from when they had damp-proofing done about 25 years ago!!
As usual, apologies to all that I've missed. Work's stupidly busy at the moment (although at least I can manage to hobble into the office now, even if it is somewhat ungainly and tiring trying to walk with a non-bendable knee) so best I get back to it just wanted to pop by and catch up. Hugs and squishes to all who want/need them.0
